I do not hate Kosi, however I find his lack of endeavour to be detrimental to us winning games let alone a premiership.joffaboy wrote:This thread is about McEvoy, please keep your obsessed hatred toward Kosi out of the thread.Bernard Hater wrote:A solid performance today and showed Kosi how to take a mark and kick a goal.
It is tiring you absolute hatred of Kosi.
Really says much more about you than Kosi
I was just making a comment that is relevant to Ben's performance today.

Good on ya Big Ben....and as a former Capt/Coach of your Tallangatta League Bombers I recon your gunna be a Ripper Sainter .... and you will do the No5 proud!!
Best game for the club yet for mine !! and HIS best is yet to come!!
Well you constantly bag him, you posted he should not be in a Saints premiership team, and now you go out of your way to bag him in a thread about a different player.Bernard Shakey wrote:

You absolutely hate Kosi, and you are obsessed by constanly bagging him.
He played well todday, presented further up the field because he had Stanley forward with him, and played well when we weren't. When we started to play well he presented up forward and brought it to ground, and on many occasions the ball sailed over his head for goals from outside 50.
The commentators also said it was a windy swirly breeze and the forwards would have a very hard day of it.
How did Cox and Le Cra go?
Fair Dinkum BS, you are blinded by your absolute loathing of Kosi, the way Raph haters are blinded by their bile.
it is evident in your constant derision, even when not warranted.
Go and hate somewhere else.
Lance or James??

Kosi contested marks zero.

He spent considerably less time up forward but looked far more potent and had a bigger impact on the scoreboard than Kosi. The biggest difference between the two is that McEvoy was taking strong "one grab" marks while Kosi saw the ball slip through his hands time and again. It's gotta be a confidence thing because Kosi at his best can pluck then out of the air as good as anybody. Similarly, when McEvoy has struggled his marks haven't stuck either.Bernard Shakey wrote:All I'm saying is Ben showed Kosi how it's done.

For the first time McEvoy has shown something that King hasn't - and that's in front of goal. If McEvoy continues to contribute on the scoreboard, and take strong marks around the ground like Gardiner does, then he will be doing his job
Can't really comment on his ruckwork today, I didn't pay too much attention to that.

Had 9 hitouts, pretty much on par with Kings last few games, but as you said....an added bonus of contested marking and goal kicking.battye wrote:For the first time McEvoy has shown something that King hasn't - and that's in front of goal. move him to chf and kick over his head to a dangerous forward.plugger66 wrote:Yes I must admit Kosi was very ordinary again especially since he started well. What can they do though?Bernard Shakey wrote:We've seen the last of King this year, unless Ben gets injured.
A solid performance today and showed Kosi how to take a mark and kick a goal.
or alternate him with mcevoy in the ruck to give them both the chance to take marks around the ground and drift forward for goals.
it's not his fault really. he tries his guts out, but just isn't working as the main focal point of the attack.
I wonder if it wouldn't hurt leaving him in the goal square. No leading up the ground or anything, just leave him right in front of goal. He's a strong mark, albeit a bit better running into a pack than one-on-one - but things aren't really clicking for him right now.bigcarl wrote:move him to chf and kick over his head to a dangerous forward.plugger66 wrote:Yes I must admit Kosi was very ordinary again especially since he started well. Put McEvoy at full forward, he will provide better value than Kosi.plugger66 wrote:Yes I must admit Kosi was very ordinary again especially since he started well. What can they do though?Bernard Shakey wrote:We've seen the last of King this year, unless Ben gets injured.

Then play Kosi as the 2nd ruck where he has more mobility than McEvoy.
