Not as good as Roo, but that would be impossible.

Critical of Stanley and debuts him
Luke is a required player at st kilda

No. That was the week prior over his non-selection that week.

Stanley was in the "bests" for Sandi last week.

However this weeks "article" was all about Roo coaching Fisher on how to play CHF, and now Stanley is selected.

Any chance Fisher does actually play CHF with Stanley brought in, at the expense of McEvoy, to ruck against Naitanui with Gardiner going up against Cox? On the wide open expanses of Subiaco, they may be concerned that the mobile of Cox and Naitanui would expose McEvoy. Stanley's recent good form at VFL level was in the ruck after all. Just a thought.....

Interesting thought Stats.

Either way our fwd structure with another taller option looks far more balanced - we dont need Stanley to be Riewoldt.......just present and pressure.

Interesting the difference to Travis Cloke at Pies since Dawes was added to fwd structure - Cloke can roam far/wide and they at least have a stay at home option in Dawes.....to me Kosi should be our stay home man......

Hope the kid does well and Heyne really steps up.

Nice work.
Well this kid is electrifyin, he's terrifyin, he's mystifyin
Why it's Rhys lightnin'!

We'll get some forward problems, and four quarters to play, oh yeah
Keep talkin', whoah keep talkin'
Roo injection cut off, and no mature-age Pods, oh yeah
I'll get the kid from Sandy, I'll send him up from Sandy
With small forwards on the floor, they'll be waitin' at the door
You know that special glint when he won the GF sprint ye Rhys lightnin

Chorus:

Go, Rhys lightnin', you're burnin' up the V.F.L.
Rhys lightnin', go Rhys lightnin'
Go, Rhys lightnin', we need you during Kosi's bad spell,
Rhys lightnin', go Rhys lightnin'
You are supreme, you're in the team, ye Rhys lightnin'

We'll get Hayes and Dal Santo to spot you up all day long, oh yeah
Soon you'll be the new king of our struggling forward throng, oh yeah
Take some hangers, kick some goals, we can win games again
You know you'll be a star, you've got the skill of Mark Le Cras - Rhys lightnin'

chorus repeats 2x

STRENGTH THROUGH LOYALTY.

Exactly.

But I reckon we started shooting him down now before he even arrives in Perth!

Travis Cloke is having a good month. He is still an average player and most know it. If I was to choose one right now it would be Dawes.

With Stanley presenting and pressuring, why does he have to do just that? What if nobody kicks to him? What happens if when he attempts to chase/tackle he misses?

He has to do more than just present and pressure.

I was not one calling for Rhys to be included but now he is I hope he has a great game. He has future star written all over him, but we would be happy with a game where he contests and chases and helps to stretch the west coast talls.

He seemed to be a guy that relished his short time in the NAB cup and I'm hoping he is a big game player. We have not been able to find a real break out player recently, it's about time we had someone that comes in in their first game and breaks it open.

I hope he kicks 4 goals and is a cross between joel selwood and tony lockett, not much to ask of the young fella. I like to keep my expectations low.
