I noticed watching last Saturdays game we over cooked the ball a bit when kicking and didn’t drill it directly into the chest. It’s a bit hard to mark the ball when it’s a foot out of your reach and you have to run back to position yourself which gives your opponent time to position himself.
Message is drill it into the chest and stop floating the ball
I was at the cats v lions game on Saturday night and I reckon Geelong missed a target 3 times all night. Every other pass was spot on. If we don't improve our kicking, we will be lucky to play finals at all.
I notice recently that we are getting undisciplined with our disposal -too many handpasses to team mates under pressure, really poor field kciking and goal kicking. I think RL just needs to give the boys a week of heavy training just to ram the hard work ethic home.
