Lots of Positives...
well a number of positives anyway...
1. Kosi is gaining in form and confidence
2. Lenny was amazing again
3. BJ continues to be better than last year
4. Loads and loads of improvement across the whole team still to come
5. Nick Heyne's debut was solid
6. Gwilt looks like he has improved 20% on last year
7. Another week closer to getting Roo back
8. The most important one that people here have to remember: there is very little difference between a lot of the teams and being crowned May Premiers or September has beens. Already this season, the Doggies, the Pies, the Blues and now the Saints have been written off and/or come back into major contention.
PREMIERSHIPS ARE WON IN SEPTEMBER!
cmon sainters, stick together, hurt, but dont lose persepctive.

Just looking forward to us having a real crack each week, and appreciating the younger talent coming through.

Yes it doesn't make for great reading.

Have to say I think the doomsdaying is a bit over the top tonight.
Nowhere near as dissapointed as last week. Our intent and intensity were much improved. Better signs from Kos, Dal, Gardi and [for mine] zac at times.
A marginally better conversion of our many gettable goals would have produced a vastly different assessment.

The only thing I agree with is that Jimmy Gwilt has stepped up. Pity that everyone else has stepped back.
Havent you become Mrs negative, I thought our forward line was a lot better yesterday, Kosi still needs to improve his second efforts, but got in good spots and clunked some contested marks, Fisher needs to learn how to vary the pace of his leads to get seperation from his backman but also had good hands and took responsibilty for set shots when in range, Milne was lively but still needs to get at the feet of the big blokes more, Heyne tried really hard and looks like a good user.Saint Bev wrote:Clutching at straws there. If you don't kick goals, you don't win games. We have a massive problem with our forward line and limping into the 8 will not win us a GF. We have big problems.
Forward entries also need to improve dramatically IMO, our midfield worked hard and fought manfully, we had moments of brilliance with spearing balls from Goddard and Hayes, we also had long ball that is a good plan when under preassure but still needs to go to the correct side of the contest for our forwards.
More positives than negatives from yesterday IMO.
Come on Bev chin up, need to put the support back in that supporter group!
Maybe this year?
