Scary to think that both of our goals have come from free kicks. Need to take a mark up forward.

I thought he was unlucky and the ball had momentum and he was trying to stop it, until I saw the other angle and he deliberately swiped it through...

Tough, could understand if the decision went either way.

Happy Kosi berated the umpire and swung it our way, seems in the game for sure.

Agreed.

He dropped the mark, fell over and without a Saints player within 10 meters just slapped the ball through. Its deliberate any day of the week.

Thankfully we are playing a hell of a lot better than last week, skills still not 100% and I wish we could take a mark inside 50 but its a massive improvment and IMHO Essendon are lucky they arnt further behind and are holding on by a thread here

Jones and Stanton having a push and shove entire quarter.
Gram went off at one stage and had his hip worked on.
SEN saying Gwilt has been good for Saints, 8 disposals.

Second quarter on.

Centre square infringement v. Geary. Their ball. Monfries marks 45 m out. He's playing on Blake. They are trying to take the lead. Goal to them.

edit: it was a HOLDING free against Geary.

Free to Hayes. Kosi, to Goddard. someone (didn't hear, THINK IT WAS JONES) kicks a point. Then Milne sharks it and kicks a GOAL.

From the centre, handpasses: Gram, Geary, Goddard, Hayes then great mark to Dal. Lining up. Hits the post.

Jones has held his opponent to 4 possessions.

3.5.23; 2.4.16

Prismall with ball on wing. Slows it down, pack forms, punch from Saints defenders. Ball up. 3.5.23, 2.4.16.

Dempsey caught.. Dal to Geary, tackled, turnover, Goddard and Schneider tackle... free to Schneider.

One of their players, Hooker (don't know spelling) has done his hamstring.

Gram should have been given a free kick, wasn't, then Hocking goals for them. Only 1 point the difference. They moved the ball really fast then.

Hocking swoops and kicks a goal. 3.4.23 to us 3.4.22 to them.

Sounds very nervy so far.

I hate not having Foxtel.

They have moved Hurley onto Kosi.
Free to Bombers at bounce against Gardi.
Monfries, spoiled by Gilbo, contested ball.
Schnieder, to Dawson, under pressure, Gilbert to Dal Santo.
Contested. Turnover... but then mark to Zac. To Goddard, Dal, then Blake, runs into a tackle, Saints have 2 to 1 advanatge... but turned over.
Saints have a player down (SEN said it but didn't name the player? Musn't have been anything)
Glibert, Dal, Blake... to McQualter... to Schneider. Time and space... looks for Fisher... spoiled. Monty gets ball. Squares it to Baker. To Milne...
Armo hits someone hard... McVeigh it was. Free to someone... Essendon player came in late (McVeigh) into Dal... He is lining up 25 m out.
GOAL!!!!!!!!!!
WE ARE IN FRONT BY 7 POINTS
