On the 'he hardly touched it' premise you could drop a lot worse than Steven who at least made the most of his opportunities.

Dal Santo, has been excellent, enough said. Mini's gone IMO. Raph perhaps not far behind. Bad move leaving Armo out despite need for speed, he has to come back. Stanley why not - we're going to need some magic against Essendon.

That's it: we lose a game in the midfield so and we bring in first gamer KPPs.

You know it makes sense. .

Kosi to the ruck and occasionally up forward, same with McEvoy

King is a superior ruckman to McEvoy, but Mac can play up forward and has pretty good mobility.

We must have another lead-up forward who can take a mark. Kosi isolated in the forward line as the only marking forward is being serously exploited by opposition running derfenders. I don't care is Stanley has been playing average football for the Zebras. At least the oppositionb have got thier work cut out covering a quick and agile 202cm player. They can't double team Kosi then!

Sadly, we have very few midfielders in our researves that can offer us something.

So....

Out

King
Clarke

In

McEvoy
Stanley
So you want to get even taller. Wasnt that an issue tonight. We lacked run.
Stanley is not treacle......Kosi is.

In fairness when it hits the deck kosi is outnumbered and useless.

Stanly doesnt have to tajke 10 marks but if he can add to some fwd pressure, take a few taps up fwd and who knows maybe jag a goal he'll have done his jon in taking some pressure off Kosi IMO.

Look at Carlton - Waite/Setanta up fwd with a number of smalls in support and they only had to present to bring these others into the game

Ive been saying for a while Stanley should be given a run - Id like to see him given a few games at worst we speed up his development.

Right now our goal scoring optins are woeful.

agree to part. Zac needs a lift, but if dropped who's full back? And I would like to see Stanley and heyne in, but doubt both of those will happen. I wouldn't drop Steven yet either..

Hard to find enough decent players if you're dropping everyone who had a shocker.

Fisher, Dal Santo and Jones were absolutely useless. Montagna and Gilbert didn't do enough. The only players who could really hold their head high after that insipid showing would be Hayes, Milne, Blake, Ray and maybe Gwilt.

King is obviously out and would surely have been dropped anyway
Steven didn't do much and the only thing putting him ahead of Armo is his possible development with a few games.
Raph has some great qualities but it doesn't change the fact that he causes completely unnecessary turnovers. I'm doubting whether it's worth keeping him in the side

Stanley surely must come in and I'd rather have Peake as a runner than Raph. Other than that there doesn't seem to be much at Sandy.

B: Gwilt, Dawson, Baker
HB: Gilbert, Blake, Fisher
C: Gram, Hayes, Jones
HF: Schneider, Goddard, McQualter
F: Milne, Stanley, Koschitzke

Foll: Gardiner, Montagna, Dal Santo
Int: Ray, Peake, Geary, Steven

Emg: Armitage, McEvoy, Clarke

A forward MUST be brought in. If Lyon brings in McEvoy so he can sit around the goalsquare for 30 minutes rotating with Kosi and Gardiner than we gain nothing. It's time to take a risk with selection because the current setup is getting us nowhere.

Dal Santo plays one bad game and we drop him?? Fair dinkum....

One of the few players in the side that can kick with precision. You don't drop class when you're lacking in it

some people suggested changes here are way over the top. You can't drop 4 or 5 senior players and replace them with kids and expect the team to gell and play brilliantly....

Well, my suggestions are:

Out:
- King (not adding much)
- Mini (lost form & confidence)
- one other...not sure yet..(I'd like to drop dawson, but its hard to fill that role with someone complete new.....)

In:
- Armo (need midfiled grunt & clearance play)
- Heyne (add another making forward target, plus adds as a ground player too)
- Stanley (to swap forward/ruck duties with Kosi)

replace heyne with stanley and I gree.

Infact I would not even set upwith Kosi at FF next week - time for us to pull some suprises.

Im also not totally given up on Raph as a fwd - thought he created some reasonable fwd pressure tonight and obviously supply wasnt the greatest....

Run might be an issue, but so is our forward structure. I don't think playing another tall forward will affect how much run we get out of the backline and midfield. Since Roo went down our best game was the one where we played Adam Pattison. I don't know if there's anything to that, but I'm throwing it out there.

I'd like to see another tall forward. I'm not going to say Stanley, because I don't know if his form warrants selection, but I'd like to see someone. There seem to be a few taller defenders who are surplus in the backline and can't cut it up forward.

stanley's form for sandringham just doesn't warrant it unfortunately teflon. tommy walsh looks closer to senior selection.

i think bj to ff and gilbert to chf.

My thought all along..we need two marking forwards.

However Roo + Patto is much better than Kosi + anyone.

Patto smacked someone and will be out for weeks. Patto also is a Kosi replacement rather than a Kosi complimentary player though.

Biggest problem tonight was lack of effort thought ...but we had many problems and where outcoahed as well.

Many players were pitiful including Dal who had one of his worst games ever..

Hayes and ray good. Gram, Milne and Gardi ok..several others competitive but msot were disintererested.
BJ got sucked into too many fights.

Unfortunately Peake has been poor since dropping, but IMO the team was better with his pace in it...and his games were ok.

He hardly touched it. Yes he kicked 2 goals but you need a mid to get it a bit more. Probably get another chance but he is a very good chance to be omitted.
Steven was a leading goal kicker tonight. Its his second game... keep him in. He is our future

Armo was not dropped, *apparently* he is carrying an injury that is not being publicly let out at the moment as he is a definite starter every week by all reports.

Unfortunately, we had a Barry Crocker. Lets see how they respond this week.....
