We've had 'one of those nights' for the past 2 games as well. How many 'one of those nights' do you have before you start questioning things?

For the past 3 weeks we haven't been able to hit a target on the chest up forward, watch most of our kicks and they are going wide, over players heads etc. Our defense has been exposed playing man-on-man when the zone hasn't work. We've had a few passengers over the past few weeks, players who seem like they aren't willing to throw themselves at the ball and really work hard. Kosi tops that list. Lyon is conservative at the selection table, we know that. Players have been getting a free ride so far this season and a message should be sent.

Leg speed isn't why we lost. The Dogs have more leg speed than us, and it didn't help them.

We didn't win the contested ball, we butchered our chances, we didn't stop Judd, our forwards were held, Dal and Joey were held, our defence couldn't handle their attackers (I admit speed was a factor there).

If it was the last day in September, or first week in October, and we were playing Carlton in the GF on damp, cold and wet day we'd moider em'!

You're right. They played well and we didn't. We were down on everything. Not sure about the game being different if took our early chances. As long as we learn from it and the coaching staff can see the areas for improvement, we will get better.

I know it's relatively early, but those that have argued that we aren't a one trick pony (go to Roo) must surely be re-assessing their stance now.

Off the top of my head, that was a completely full list on the park - minus one guy.

No Roo hasn't helped of course , but he's gone for a fair bit of the season , so we have to get over that , and Kosi 'aint the answer .

It was a weird game, Carlton just could not put a foot wrong and even when they did the ball would miraculously land in one of their hands, whilst the Saints could not catch a break and when they did the umpires would screw them.

You need to stop bagging Kosi. Not totally his fault. Set up a couple of chances in the 1st Q but is slow and down on confidence but who takes his place?

Is a better CHF (more traditional than modern) than FF and is not suited to the Lyon game plan. Do you reckon a Podsiadly, Mooney or Hawkins would have much of a chance with the St. Kildla game plan?
