What do you want him to do ???

He has a game plan but tonight the team could not deliver due to skill errors and apathy (L Hayes your excused).

There is a common thread here, teams that play fast attacking football combined with genuine foot speed can really trouble us.

The bombers are looking at this and licking their lips.

We have been found out. Especially without a target up forward to convert out inside 50s or at least provide a contest.

To accomplish great things we must not only act but also dream, not only plan but also believe.

dal cannot be entirely at fault here, he needs team mates to step up and help block carrazzo around the packs!!

Its obvious that the last 3 weeks havent been positive its like we have taken 3 steps back.

My thoughts are:

Steven King should not play another game for the saints

Ross Lyon needs to make a call and play Rhys Stanley at CHF

Dal Santo needs to be reminded that soft football doesnt get you a game at st.kilda

Dawson is a liability

Hayes is still a gun

lets keep our domination of the baggers going for as long as possible 8-)
Just joined the forum after coming home from work. I was going to watch the delayed telecast but will keep that for another day to see the learnings for the club.

How toey do you feel now. I am seething since hearing our insider being dropped. Armitage is not super but his style is why the Saints have beaten the Blues so regularly over the last 7 years.

We have not changed forward structure so this was a hiding in waiting and the effort is generally poor from what I see on the stats column. Even tackle count is low.

Ross the game plan was never going to last. Other teams were always to test their options knowing you are never going to change.

I stand by my comments of recent times for come change. We have become stagnant now and this week are on the nose.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

We have no forward structure, getting killed at clearances, making their mediocre players looking good and the umpires are killing us ( with a lot of help from us).

We had to have this streak come to an end sometime but why now, we have too many players who are getting beaten easily and allowing them to look good with easy possessions.

It is time that we had a look at some other second tier players and give them a chance.

To sum up...
everything that could go right for carlton...has gone right
everything that could have gone wrong for us....has gone wrong.

Well, I have been searching to find positives:

* Lenny once again demonstrated that he is an absolute champion in all conditions;
* Jack Steven - first time he has kicked two goals in a match;
* Stephen Milne showed a bit of spark and can do freakish things;
* Gram will be better for the run;
* Geary and Gwilt are still playing better than last year.

But the forward line problems are very significant. C'mon Saints, regroup, and bonuce back next week and for the rest of the season.

Is implied by your post.
Nothing went right for us, everything went right for them...ergo our luck was out, their luck was in.
