Keep making a case for selection Tommo.
Great to hear Tommy is getting into the swing of things. If Tommy can produce the type of game the coach wants he'll get his chance to play in the first 22. As big a revelation as Stanley was in the NAB the presence of afl player T.Walsh would be a huge success for Lyon's Saints.
GO TOMMY.
GO SAINTS!
GO TOMMY.
GO SAINTS!
The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.

I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

do what the coach suggests and back your natural instincts ... which are very good. it's a simple game. there's no great mystery to it.

It's ben good to see Tommy in the best players for Sandy but I would be hugely surprised if he got a senior game this year. He's played a handful of AFL games to date, I don't think that quite prepares a player for the AFL. Just give him time. Hopefully he'll get in next year and go on to be a 200 gamer.
Opinions are like arseholes, everybody's got one.

let's judge him on his form for sandringham.remboy wrote: He's played a handful of AFL games to date, I don't think that quite prepares a player for the AFL. Just give him time. Hopefully he'll get in next year and go on to be a 200 gamer.
he's ahead of expectations the coach says and is likely to be used in his natural role as a key forward.
if he was to start absolutely blitzing i'm sure he'd be considered for selection like anyone else on the list.

i reckon there's a fair chance that both tom lynch and tom simpkin will play 50 games before tom walsh. but let's hope all three do!Megamaguire wrote:Great to hear Tommy is getting into the swing of things.

They certainly seem to recognize his potential down there and will fast track his development. We could do with a star key forward at the minute.borderbarry wrote:Seeing how Tommy Walsh has been mentioned in the best players for the last three games, and the other two Toms have hardly played a game this season, I doubt either of them will make it before Tom Walsh.
