Hawthorn to consider training at Moorabbin
So not welcome!
Seriously though, I think there is more to this article than meets the eye, I wouldn't be surprised if questions have been asked about the Hawks strength and conditioning departments.

The Hawks are based at Waverley Park but are assessing other venues to use occasionally for closed training sessions.
The re-developed Waverley Park is surrounded by shops and housing estates that can make closed training sessions difficult to hide from prying eyes.
Hawthorn spokesman Clinton Bown confirmed that Hawks coach Alastair Clarkson and other club officials had recently visited Moorabbin to inspect the facilities.
“We are looking at a number of different alternatives. This is just one. We’re looking at that and we’re looking at a number of schools and private facilities,â€

Yeah, but how do they do private seesions now that all the infra structure has been torn down? Are they going to employ security to surround the whole complex so no one can stop while walking past and look through the fence?Stillwaiting wrote:Thought the same but I think its becuase the Dawks can not get any sessions in privateiwantmeseats wrote:I dont get it . Exactly, there is nothing private about the Moorabbin ground today.iwantmeseats wrote:Yeah, but how do they do private seesions now that all the infra structure has been torn down? But I seem to remember a time when, I think it was West Coast, parked outside Windy Hill.
It wasn't the local police who moved them on but the resident organised crime gang who thought someone was spying on their activities.
The request to move on was far more persuading than any police or security.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Of course the new training ground at Seaford is going to be so private!
But free memberships to the local Frankston bother boys should be enough to secure training from prying eyes.

The social club could set up cameras and tape the Hawthorn training sessions from the Huggins Stand and then sell them to all the other clubs.

We could also make sure that the showers are nice and cold and it rains heavily on the dawks training days but somehow clears up and the hot water returns for the saints

Saints are looking to continue to use Moorabbin for atleast one session per week- CLOSED as they cannot close the new ground.
I have a memory of an Interstate team using Moorabbin last year- either a player or assistant coach mentioned it in an interview
for this very reason- It can be closed- maybe the Eagles last year-
and yes they employ security and ensure there are staff on the mounds- noted whilst leaving the ground one day when it was a closed session
either Tudor or Elshaugh mentioned the security.
the mounding around the ground does inhibit viewing from local streets.
