Summary of Roo on Ch7 On the Bounce

Post: # 907266Post Milan Faletic »

Mentioned BJ and Fisher going forward.

Couldn't say much more that was new.

Played the game "operation" to repair his own hammy.

Took part in a segment called "Big Call" and made his big call that Malthouse and Milney were having dinner tonight.

He is the consummate professional. Peter Helliar intoduced him as the best player in the AFL and you could see just a flicker of sadness on his face.

Said he had spent a couple of hours today in the hyperbaric chamber and had acupuncture. Said 12 weeks is the minimum but he just needs to rehab in a professional way.

Love you, Roo, in a man crush way, of course.

Thanks for that Milan. Was all set to watch it: dinner over, dishes done and I get a phone call out of the blue from a long lost cousin and I missed it. :x

Did he sound like he would play this weekend?

I think he will and if he has bulked up that is great.

Nick stressed that the operation was on the tendon and that when it has healed and he does return, which he firmly believes will be this year, he will be able to regain his form completely - won't be permanently affected by this injury. Made a point of that.

Is there an echo? Didn't think I had to explain any more than the post. Thought most people would get that.

No echo.

Perhaps you would prefer....that is the salient part IMO.

Seriously if you don't want comment why post in the first place?

Going by some of your recent posts you are developing a chip on your shoulder.

My suggestion is relax and understand that when people "choose" to comment on particular things that they are not just having a crack at you.

In my case..12 weeks was the salient part.

No crack, no agenda..just my opinion.

To inform?

Sometimes I go to meetings and there are people who point out the obvious at every opportunity. They love the sound of their own voices and assume that everybody in the room - the inferior intellects - are benefiting from their statements of the obvious.

Was in the audience last night and Nick was fantastic. I thought he handled himself extremely well and received a fantastic round of applause when he first walked into the studio. You can just sense that he will do everything he can to get back as soon as possible.
Proud of you Rooey.

Poor bugga..

There is nothing worse than a meeting with a Chair who does not actually Chair, and participants that do not understand what a meeting is really for and how it should be conducted.

I learnt long ago to not waste my time at meetings that were not properly conducted. But enjoy yours anyway...

Re Meetings..

A while ago I was involved in meetings and one person in particular always was asking questions....at the time I thought why is he asking questions that almost everyone knows the answer to .

The reason I later realized was that he did know the answer BUT wanted to be remembered by the hierachy as an active participant. Very clever strategy as he always got promoted when opportunities arose as I guess his name came to mind favourably as against the people who sat and asked few questions.

Sorry if this is a bit off topic.
