Knowing Roo he will do everything in his power to get back as quickly as possible, the club will have to control him.

And yes I also have a crush on Roo, well I have a crush on most of them, but I do have favourites

Too right Saint Bev, I think he will be champing at the bit to get back and I hope they hold him off till he is 100% ready to be back out there.

I have to admit I do have a crush on a fair few of our sainter boys as well

couple of other important points

the tear is in the middle of the tendon and the doctor expects that will allow for better healing. Alot better then near the bone or where the muscle and tendon attach.

he will do some strengthing work in other areas of the body so it wont be complete rest

roo heals very well, his other injuires have taken the usual time so that bodes well

Look they wont know more till 2 weeks time, then 6 weeks time. Don't be suprised to see him back around round 14

Well we're all guessing but no doubt Roo will err on the side of caution.

Whenever he comes back it will be towards the end of the season and therefore any relapse is likely to spell then end of his GF dreams for 2010.

So I don't think you'll see him come back one week earlier than is necessary (unless that one week equates to round 1 of the finals :D )

Have it some authority (but obviously not a top source) that everyone is aiming at Round 15. Much concern surrounds Roo's overtraining, he thinks perhaps he can be back the week after the mid-season break. They need a real training 'governor' for him. Obviously he is our best player so they will take all precaution.
So if they manage him properly and everything goes as well as possible R15 is the return date. Lets hope for that.

That would be Brisbane at the Gabba. Would rather him not travel for his first back. Rd 16 against the Pies at the MCG would be an interesting return.

Why does it matter?

Do you really think a plane flight matters when he's fully recovered?

He could by all means spend an extra day in Brissie for recovery on the Sunday and Monday before returning to Melbourne.

Rooey is a race horse - makes sense to control his training.

Is this the thread where I talk about my Riewoldt mancrush?

I'm not alone here then....
My mancrush was on Matt Maguire.
So I've got an achey breaky heart now.

Sorry -- off-topic.
Good luck Nick! Come back as quick as you can. But don't risk it too soon.
