Proud...
...to be a Saint, especially after friday nights gutsy win.
And proud in recent times of the leadership shown by our club on and off the field.
Proud of Lenny and co. who showed their leadership qualities on friday night after Rooey was injured.
This sort of leadership begins from the top and filters down through the list, as displayed on friday night and through the consistently good media displays by all involved with the club.
We give them our time and yet give them nothing, every time. Just like on the field.
The Malthouse incident is a good example.
Look at Collingwood, how can Malthouse expect his players to be disciplined on the field when he can't even display it himself, they are a joke...and it showed on and off the field on friday.
Could you imagine RL getting involved in something like that??? No chance.
Well done Saints, well done.

Everyone else I have spoken to who doesn't follow the Saints are in total awe of what happened on Friday night. First the skipper goes down, Sam gets cleaned up by Celine Dion Leon (about the only touch he got all night) and then Sir Lenny gets "King" hit. It was like watching a classic war movie with the casualty list getting bigger and the scene was set for an heroic victory against the odds.
After Lenny was patched up and Fisher re-emerged onto the field it just demoralised the opposition and our boys "grew a leg". If ever anyone needs an example of sheer willpower against adversity then a purchase of the game DVD would be a must. I have followed our team for many years and IMO it was the best win I can recall.
I know we have lost our skipper which is bad news, but the self-belief a lot of our list will get from Friday night will be immense. Well said Leo, you have every right to feel ten feet tall, like the rest of us.

COMEDIC GOLD !!!!!!
Straight to the Pool Room for that one.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'
