could zac make way?

Post: # 904241Post Solar »

with chips, jimmy, blake a gilbo playing well can we afford to give zac a spell in the seconds. Seems to be struggling to find good position against his opponent. This would allow us to bring in two forwards, one tall and one medium

I suggest

in: stanely, clarke

out: zac, roo

note: no I have not watched sandy this weekend, I relise that the boys have to play tomorrow. Frankly I hope this is not hijacked by those who have vested interests and I am not knocking zac as he has lifted after the pre-season, just seems not there yet and a week at sandy might be the kick up the bum he needs

Thought Zac fought back well after a shaky start.
That free that was paid against him in the third qtr was ridiculous when it was clearly shown that he was pushed by the filth player into another filth player.
However, a week in the two's may do him well, also some one on one coacjhing with Sos.

Whats with Zac turning his back on the ball all the time? 50% less chance of making a spoil, 50 % more of giving away a free kick. Dont get it.

Yep, I reckon he could get the chop.

Replace him with Raph - yes, that is not a complete like-for-like swap, but an option.

I'd be amazed if he got the chop but I guess stranger things have happened. Worth noting that zac has played effective football as a forward

All Zac needs is a session with SOS, concentrating on keeping your eyes on the ball, backing yourself in, and keeping touch with your man.

I'm sure SOS has already had that chat.
Zac has been watching his opponent for 7 weeks now.
He has become a liability and cannot be played next week.

Anyone who thinks he was alright last night, did not watch the game, and neither did Zac.

Much as i don't like being negative on players... he was ordinary. 1 on 1 he is in serious trouble.

I posted similar earlier today.
Zac is out of form and Freo do not have a tall FF.

So IF Clarke plays well he could come into the backline.

We need another marking target in the forward line. However this is not just to mark..but also to provide opportunities for our 3 small forwards from any spills.

So could be Stanley , Cahill (who has been good so far) or Patto.

Lynch is injured.

Ben is a possibility..but then with all of Ben, King and Gardi in it makes for a cumbersome side.

Now Zac has the abilty to be our FB. Trouble is he is not showing it at present. So time for me for a spell in the reserves.

i would just be happy if he backed himself looking at that ball all the time then worrying where his opponent is. If he can follow the ball in the air he can feel/sense where his opponent is anyway

Right in front of me Zac took his eyes off the man and in that split second was out jostled and failed to make a spoil, where he should have taken the mark (was originally in the better position).

Saying that, his man scored one goal, and at one point he was used forward. To say he has had seven bad weeks is a bit green. He'll play for sure. That aside, quietly, I thought Blake was a soldier last night.

I would add that whomever comes in has to be capable of delivering Saints Footy. Some of the younger players may struggle with this for 4 quarters.

Because that was nowhere near a perfect performance from Zac. That was not even a par performance.

If an organisation wants to be at the top or whatever they are doing they need to weed out the weak links and analyse ways to improve constantly. Make best use of its assets and if there is someone who the selectors believe is of better use than Zac,he will go.

Seems to me that if Freo has no FF then that would be the perfect opportunity for Zac to run into a bit of form.

No point in dropping him if he has that opportunity IMO.

His man would have kicked 6 if he could kick.

4 NAB Cup games and 3 Premiership games watching his opponent = 7 bad games.

He has lost 8 to 10 kilos since last year and has completely lost confidence.
Something is wrong with him and needs to be fixed at Sandy, not giving away goals in our back line.

yep, had the beer all ready, off course being in grade 4 I was too young to buy it buy I gave money to joffaboy and he bought it for you. I want to hear all the technical reasons dictating why the ball must always come back behind the mark. Maybe then you could also explain to me the history of the tribunal.... it will be spirtual.
