Overrated.
Didn't malthouse have a similar discussion with Robert Harvey once? Oh that's right he was talking to his own players. Again.
Nathan Buckley...come on down.
*Allegedly.

All this guff from Malthouse took me back to the first time he returned to Moorabbin as the Footscray coach and this was a fair old bloodbath as the Footscray players did every dirty trick in the book, including someone laying out Trevor Barker on the wing in front of the social club.
And the coaches box was in the members stand and at one stage all the people who were sitting in front of Malthouse stood up and were giving him a hard time about the filthy tactics.
We won by the way.
On a more serious note, it's almost as though Malthouse has decided to take upon himself all of the "hurt" inflicted by this wicked club on Luke Ball. It's as if Mick thinks only he knows about what went on and no one else did, especially the St Kilda Football Club. It seems to be a constant them with any Malthuuse interview.
Move on Mick, your mid life crisis is showing especially as the young buck Nafan Buckley is breathing down your neck.

stkilda refuring this incident to the match review committee. Players upset at what happened. Lyon believes that it is a no go zone as the field is the players zone.
Hope they come down hard on collingwood

It's the Collingwood fans who are always the first to cry out "rapist" at Milney and delight in going down that path whenever we play them. Now the coach says the same thing on camera. After their president has just been in damage control for making homophobic comments during the winter olympics. So which end drives this? Does the tail wag the dog and the fanbase rubs off on the people exposed to them or does it come from the top down? Either way their culture is embarrassing for all involved, pretty sad time for the Pies...
The future's so bright I've got to wear shades...

Well I hope that we dont come across as whingers.
Dont get me wrong I reckon Malthouse should have been man enough to ring Milney and apologise and deal with it themselves.
Glad the club has put in a complaint, but not sure how we will be perceived for doing this.
Am I wrong to think that we will be seen as whingers

On one week at a time they had footage of Buckley looking like he wanted to bitch slap Malthouse after he took over his huddle of forwards and stood between Buckley and the players. They showed an article where Mick bagged out Buckleys coaching abilities and then Buckley questioning his position as a forwards coach instead of mids- toxic environment with old sue em all and burn down their boxes Eddie sniping anyone who looks like they dont see eye to eye with him.
Don't know the guy but he seems like a nasty piece of work does Malthouse, at least they should have figjam sooner rather than later. Natural selection should see the bigger of 2 over inflated egos canibalise the other.

Terrible disgrace that we ever let it wear a St Kilda jumper but we soon got rid of it.Eastern wrote:Malthouse's behaviour will almost certianly be traced back to when he was a St Kilda 2nds player by some sections of the media !!

All round.
On the field they really stepped up when our champion Riewoldt and AA Fisher were out of the game, took it by the scruff of the neck and really hammered us. Too bad they couldn't kick a goal in the second half for the first time in nearly qtr of a century
Off field Malthouse was a class act. Everyone can see on the replay what he was screaming at Milne.
He then didn't have the courage at the presser to tell the truth about the incident and said he was talking to his own players (Geez he is a tough coach if he calls his own players a F@@king rap artist, or words to that effect).
yes credit where credit is due to Collingwood, wonderful on field performance especially in the second half, and a classy professional performance by the coaching staff during and after the game.
That's the most angering part about it.
I hate blokes that can never admit they were wrong, that they f***ed up.
Eddie and Malthouse are leaders in that category.
Want to talk about respect now Mick? Well I have never had any respect for you in the first place.....so go f*** yourself.

On MMM earlier today Garry Lyon & James Brayshaw were "Very Careful" with what they did & didn't say about the incident, except to say that it is a very serious allegation about what Malthouse allegedly said. Aparently there are at least 3-4 media outlets who have engaged lip readers to study the footage of the incident.
Leigh Montagna, when interviewed said that the saints players would fully & truthfully co-operate with any AFL investigation on this matter.
From what I have heard & read since this incident I believe that Mr. Malthouse could find himself a quite a bit of trouble for making statements that could be seen as inaccurate, ill-informed and slanderous.
If these allegations are found to be correct I would expect the AFL to persue Malthouse with at least the same vigour as they recently persued Brendan Fevola !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!
Gee Licuria's tough having a go at 5 foot 6 Milne - Didn't see anyone have a crack at Gardiner. Like a pack of dogs, collingwood go for the most defenceless players. Lead by mick "You f'ing rapist" Malthouse, "Have a go" Licuria and cover up specialist and Homophobe McGuire I hope the club gets severly mauled in the press and by the AFL this week - they stoop to the lowest form of humanity to try to win.

From the vision I just saw on " The Fifth Quarter"....It looked to me that after all the other stuff, Milne said to Licuria...."F off you Effing H*MO".... Hope he does not get in trouble for that....you know what these things are like....If we complain, but he has also said unacceptable things, they will use that to discredit him and our complaint. Could get ugly, (or uglier as its already gotten ugly).

Agree wholeheartedly. Malthouse has been exposed. End of story, move on. Mick has dug his own grave.SainterK wrote:What a terrible piece of vision.
I think Mick has been exposed to be a liar, and someone who lacks courage.
As to the club taking it further, I just have a feeling that they have already acheived their purpose and we may seem them back off.
However, I am not so sure the AFL will let this one drop. It was despicable. Coaches would do well to leave the sledging between the players on the ground.
