It is not about disagreeing, I think we all like rational debate, and about 2 or 3 times a month we get it. It is a forum and anyone can say what they like. it is the repetitive agenda that gets tiresome...and it is a shameto see threads brought down like this one. I will try not to contribute to that anymore by (hopefully) ending my postings on this one.Leo.J wrote:No not a lawyer, I just think that you can get away with alot on here if you tow the party line.markp wrote:I hope you're not a lawyer!Leo.J wrote:Define troll?

Have a read of this thread, and count how many times RF repeats a variation of his new trolltastic mantra 'we wont know if our problems have been addressed until the GF'.Leo.J wrote:No not a lawyer, I just think that you can get away with alot on here if you tow the party line.markp wrote:I hope you're not a lawyer!Leo.J wrote:Define troll?

Do you enjoy reading the same things over and over again? It is fine to disagree, I don't think anyone on here has said anything else. It is the repetitive agenda that is the problem. It is taking a thread and turning it into something else. Sometimes there is an interesting thread, you go off and do something for a few hours and you come back and it has deteriorated into a mess...with the same people, saying the same things, usually just to get a rise.saintsRrising wrote:What is wrong with disagreeing?Leo.J wrote:

I was out on my lonesome for a lot RL's early years....as well as GT's last year or so.
It is probably the main reason we have lost so many of the better posters that used to frequent this place. It is tiresome and boring.

It's from the playbook of RF.

I generally don't read these threads because of that.Sainterman wrote:Do you enjoy reading the same things over and over again? Or just on a crusade for freedom of speech?
As I said before I don't agree with RF regarding the GF, but he is not the only one that repeats himself incessantly.
And while I find his demeanor sometimes aloof, again he is not the only person who comes across that way...
To ban RF would be hypocritical.
Anyway I've had my say.

A shame though isn't it? I try to do the same but should we have to do that?stinger wrote:Sainterman wrote:

Maybe we need an RF board on the forum, a place where he can sprout the same things over and over. Or a sticky, just for him...so we can choose not to read it, without it compromising what might have been an otherwise interesting thread.

Finna, this is not Saint Bev, but her hubby Murray. Really loved and agreed with your post (having been in business for most of my working life) . Are you able to tell us (I'm not being a smart alec here, I genuinely would like to know) what is "a place that few get to see" (forgive me if they aren't your exact words, but I'm unable to get back to your post!!) that you mentioned?
Again, a great post!

Okay: think I know where you're coming from.
To confirm:
is it your opinion that we've had a near grand final capable list from '04-'05 (i.e. prelim made, but couldn't/didn't execute)?
Hence is your premise is that as what you saw as issues on grand final day were issues you have seen for sometime, and can only be said to be "fixed" once they don't impede the goal of winning a grand final?
i.e. irrespective of coach, the problems you see are ones which have led to the inability to defeat Port, Sydney, Hawthorn and Geelong over the last 5 years when it mattered, and as long as they have that impact, you continue to see them as issues to be addressed.
Now back to your regularly scheduled sledging.
