Because with 16 less points our percentage would drop from 188.2% to 175.6% compared to Freo's 176.3%.

So, unless the Hawth v Geel game is very one-sided, that extra 16 points was the only thing between Freo assuming top spot on the ladder for the very first time ever in their proud history.

Our ninth biggest win, and I believe only the third time that we have won both halves by 50 or more.

Five of our top 10 margins have been in the last six years.

in the same mould as that, we have won six matches by a hundred points or more since 2004. Two in 04, one in 05 and 06, one in 08 and this one.

Prior to that I think we had won twelve.

Already 150% better in just five years.

Goes to show we are really working on erasing that painful history.

Another stat a 6 year old kid told me yesterday was apparently that is the first time a team has been held scoreless at docklands in the first quater? The other lowest score was when Fremantle scored one point against Geelong apparently sometime. I don't know the accuracy of that but it was a great effort by our boys anyway.

When Harvey played his first game in 1988, I was a 12yo wearing short pants and struggling with my readin', writin' and 'rithmetic in grade eight. Now, I'm a father of three and a retired AFL player. And he's still going. Amazing! - Michael Voss

Our position after Round 1 was the lowest we had been on the ladder since round 20 2008.
