Kosi has always been a clumsy player but this year he is slower and even more clumsy. Stanley definitely has more upside now.Unforgiven wrote:People say that Stanley and Cahill are a bit off, but the way Kosi is playing one of these blokes, or McEvoy is going to get a game ahead of Kosi at some stage this year. Kosi willl hopefully come good, but it may take a stint at Sandy for that to happen.

To his credit, Kosi hits the marking contents very hard and causes spillages that the crumbing forwards can capitalize on. However he's not hanging onto his marks and isn't much use at ground level. At present he's little more than a battering ram.
A real concern.....

Totally agree spert. His time was last year's final series and is now holding back Stanley's development.

Absolutely no good below his knees.
Non existent or just plain poor second efforts.
Every mark that Roo took in the forward line...Kosi is two steps behind just spectating.
Too slow for the backline...
Is he holding someone back?
He was behind Riewoldt, but in all those cases, he could have marked it if Riewoldt wasn't there. Looks like they need to seperate Reiwoldt and Kosi more to get the most out of them both

KOSI was one of many that didn't fire !
KOSI was one of many that didn't fire ! DAWSON, KING and AMITAGE were ordinary, GILBERT's disposal was terrible. GRAM had 28 of the softest touches ever, Monti and SCHNEIDER no impact... If we didn't have Reiwoldt we would struggle with the current set up.
At the end of the night they ran harder and won the contested ball and deserved the win.

Look all of us want him to do well but he struggles big time to make a contest and his body work for his size is very average. Hall showed tonight how to use a body to advantage in the forward line, not to mention his speed is miles ahead of Kosi.bobmurray wrote:i know the best way to achieve your suggestion...SainterX1 wrote: He was behind Riewoldt, but in all those cases, he could have marked it if Riewoldt wasn't there. one on one kosi is quite weak............sainterinsydney wrote:What about moving Kossie to full back? Hall would have had trouble trying to out-muscle him. I would have at least tested it out. I mean kossie was doing nothing at FF.
strength has never been a big point with him
no definition....(Hall has heaps)

I think you are right. One Eyed Saint wrote:He should be playing forward rotating through the middle
Some of his best footy is around the ground
King should not be in our best 22, Mac and Gardy for mine...
What concerns me about Kosi is just how hard he makes an easy chest mark look.....its like he goes slow mo in the air also allowing the opposition the chance to spoil?I feel nowadays that if he is in time and space and gets time to think...he invariably stuffs it up......
Whatever happens from now he HAS to give us something - we are getting nothing from him for large stints of a game.I know he crashes packs...but Blake can also do that and I reckon right now be more damaging with a grab........
IF he doesnt step up Kos......hes heading for Sandi for sure this year...

Most forwards on the lead would murder Kosi now. He is seriously at the crossroads and has been since last year's finals.chook23 wrote:one on one kosi is quite weak............sainterinsydney wrote:What about moving Kossie to full back? Kosi is either in poor form or great form, no in between...
The great thing is that having a full pre-season his form should get better with match time.
With the exceptions of Lenny, Fisher and Gardi we look pretty fit and set for a pretty good year.
This time last year we were playing NAB challenge games in Woop Woop and getting belted.
As long as the injured players get back on the park soon we will be in a lot better position than this time last yeer.

I have thought about this and reckon oppositions have got us worked out a bit.Unforgiven wrote: still demands a decent defender and somewhat keeps the defender off nick.
If they get the set up right and force Roo to go go deep up the ground they play a mobile player on him and the better backman on Kosi. Roo is too far out to score forcing the kick to Kosi. All the backman has to do is get the ball to ground and run off him, which sets up the rebound attack.
