ONE HD - game live
I noticed the game is on live in Perth on One HD at 4pm.
Does this mean that we will not have to put up with delayed channel 10 telecasts every saturday night game? Will they continue to show live games on One HD throughout the season?

I hope so janator, last week Ten were shocking. 7 minute ad breaks between goals, the quarter time break was shorter...

Nothing wrong with Kelly, she does a better job than most of the blokes.thirty-seven!? wrote:The only thing that Channel 7 has going for them is that they don't have Kelly Underwood....Bernard Shakey wrote:Ten want to show live games and do so when the AFL allow them to.
Unlike 7, who are mare interested in Better Homes and Gardens.

I guarantee it won't happen.saintDal wrote:I'm hoping that when our games clash with the Eagles or Dockers (which seems to happen a lot) that ten will show our games on One and the other game on their main channel. I know it's wishful thinking but you would think having the extra channel it wouldn't be hard to do this.

Only thing worse than blokey blokes is blokey chicks who think theyre blokes.
She sounds like a cat being fed through a mincer - dreadful.
BTW before the feminist brigade start burning bras - I also think Luke Darcy is totally out his depth with netball.

AND I love Luke Darcy on the netball. His love of Sharelle McMahon amuses me - gives it a blokes perspective. He loves the netballers who get in there and have a crack! I'm off to burn my bra - eh man boob holder upperer thingy
You should be thankful Channel 10 showed the game at all.battye wrote:I hope so janator, last week Ten were shocking. 7 minute ad breaks between goals, the quarter time break was shorter...
That match was a Fox Sports broadcast. Channel 10 were given the option to not show it at all, or show it on a delay and give fans who don't have Pay TV free-to-air access. They choose the latter, thankfully for us non-Pay TV folk.
Yes, they could have cut down on the ad breaks, but tell me, if you were running a TV network and you could gain some extra cash through advertising over the duration one single night, you'd say "of course" too.
Remember, this is the network that has changed the way sport is viewed on Australian FTA TV in one year. And they constantly show live AFL matches, despite arguments from the AFL. I'm just sick of people banging on about one single NAB Cup match when they are without doubt the best of the two (three is you look back at when Channel 9 had the rights) FTA networks in relation to AFL broadcasting.
