Why were the nets behind the goals up sat nigh??

Never seen them up beyond the pre game warm up. Why? Hope its not a regular thing now.

There is another post on this and it probably had a lot to do with the fact the stadium was damaged.

i got inside just before half time (after waiting over an hour for a ticket) and they were gone :?

They were up for the first quarter and taken down at quarter time. The reason they were up for the first quarter? Someone forgot to take them down. Given the circumstances, understandable.

i thought they might have left them up so that the ball didnt end up on level 2 or 3, with no one up there to throw the ball back down....

The AFL has more than one ball! (I expect a significant ex gratia payment for that comment).

They didn't get stuck.

The 'public' were not allowed on level 2, however security were.

Any ball that went up to level 2 was retrieved within afew minutes and returned to the bag of balls.
