The NAB Grand Final:

Who takes big bad barry?

Is Zac the man?
Maybe Sam Fisher?

Given the way we have been setting up, you would think Zac would have first crack.

Could even be Gwilt - has matched him well before and played well on Pav for stints tonight...

Zac should get first crack....he towelled him last year in Round 1.

Zac seems better with the lead up forwards than the pack marking types so Hall would appear to be his ideal match up.

He lost 12kg when he went away last year but has put it all back on.

Geez, where did he go to lose that amount of weight? Did he get Bali Belly or something. He was sick leading into GF too so didn't have a good run. Looks to me to have gained it all back though.

Yeah I noticed that tonight when he was standing next to Gaertner.

How could this happen??

Surely, with the scrutiny these guys are under with their body types, the club's conditioning staff wouldn't let their key back revert back to his skinny 19 year old self.

He hasn't been drinking Japanese soy milk has he??

Gwilt could be a good option.
He got a lot of the ball tonight but he turned it over a bit.

I like Gwilt in the backline though and he's strong.
Might be a good back-up option for Hall if Zac has some problems.

A number of comments about Zac being below last years form.

Whoever it is I hope he cops one on the chin, plays through the pain of it, and we see BBB rubbed out for twelve. I would take great joy in seeing BBB's saviour status deflated before Rd 1...

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

I reckon its a job for Milney - he can yap away at BBB until he cracks (again). Should only take a quarter of so. Then poor Bazza can go back to the retirement home.

I agree that Zac certainly looks skinny standing next to some of these big power forwards. He seems to lose his position in marking contests as well. However on the lead, which is Hall's bread and butter, I would back him before anyone else in the team. If he's to play Full back, we have to back him. There's plenty of imposing fwds around he'll have to handle this year. Fev, Buddy, Pav, to name a few. If the backline gets back to it's team work of last year, then Fisher Blake and even gilbo can chip in to give him a hand.

They may give Gaertner a crack for a while, if last night is anything to go by. I wouldn't mind seeing that for a bit, as long as he has someone like Sammy Gilbert loose, to help him out.
