Herald Sun Match Report
THEY were either pre-season cobwebs or the first signs of a tumultuous pre-season beginning to show on St Kilda...

The club says it has maintained its focus but perhaps last night the distraction and strain of it all maybe began to show.
.....what a bollocks conclusion that is !
Maybe start with the fact that we were 2nd up after a spirited game against The Filth and a lot of players looked down.
Then add in the "claggy" stop start contest that the Swines force teams to play.
And finally add in some rusty players having 1st runs such as Dal and Lenny combined with some fresh players being unable to back up intensity and also a vastly different game style. e.g Smith

The journo (Jay Clark) who wrote the Herald Sun bit and his sub-editor should be sacked. The article reads like a drunk has written it, filled with factual and grammatical errors. I don't want to sound like a pedant, but when you are a professional writer and you have so-called professionals supposedly checking your work, you should be able to come up with something better than that.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Based on the article if you didn't know the scores, you would have thought that Sydney had won. All praise to them Jay.White Winmar wrote:The journo (Jay Clark) who wrote the Herald Sun bit and his sub-editor should be sacked.
