"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

But we've got BUCKLEYs chance of getting a kick.
A GF this century is all that we crave.
If only DIDAK could learn to behave.
So pity our supporters as you're RUSTLING for change.
Or they'll most likely mug you while you wait for the train.
Etc, etc, blah, blah, blah...

players dont know what the banner reads until they are on the ground running through it.doppler effect wrote:It may not have been the AFL stopping the banner going out, it may have been the players saying their not going to run through a banner that reads that...
and most players dont even read it

For the several hours it took the filth CS to think up that banner, work out the spelling, make it, fix the spelling mistakes... the valuables in your home and car were just a little safer.Bernard Shakey wrote:So why have one at all?saintdooley wrote:players dont know what the banner reads until they are on the ground running through it.doppler effect wrote:It may not have been the AFL stopping the banner going out, it may have been the players saying their not going to run through a banner that reads that...

the other one is that we are the only sport that players have a run through banner before each game. its a lot of work but a lot of fun making them. and if we didnt have a banner for a game, you lot would be telling us how pathetic and horrible we are as a cheer squad

The banning of run throughs (now called banners)
The VFL banned banners & floggers in June 1972 for maybe 2-3 years after a Collingwood fan ran through Essendon's banner, and later in the game the Essendon floggers were set on fire.
The Essendon banner read
You can take the gutter out of Collingwood
but you can't take Collingwood out of the gutter.
Cheer Squad's combined in about 1974/5 to protest in the city to get the color back into the game. This is when size of banners , flags, floggers was introduced by the then VFL and color returned to football.
