St Kilda 15.4.94 d Collingwood 14.12.96
You're all living in a fool's paradise, if it wasn't for the stupid NAB cup rules and 9 point goals we would have lost our second game in a row, worrying signs!
Ross Lyon is looking shaky, must be losing confidence in himself because now he is delegating more responsibility to his assistants, but this can only be a good thing!
That's 4 losses in our last 7 games if you don't include 9 point goals and were very lucky to beat the Bulldogs in the preliminary final!
Serious questions need to be asked!
Is Bundy available?
Should we begin to sound him out now?

Agree markp, worrying signs,
if it wasn't for the Luke Ball skill error and goal that he gifted us with his usual sloppy disposal we would have lost again,
as it was it was only a nine point goal that got us over the line!
Just one question - if things are so great, why didn't we win the flag last year?

I agree to the extent it wasn't a great performance. But, it's the NAB Cup, I'll take the positives in that it was an under-manned squad, several kids did their bit and Roo looked fantastic, even in second gear. Now, I wait for the next clash.
I certainly think it's premature to be getting over-excited at this stage but I also think it's a tad over-dramatic to start hitting the panic button after one pre-season match. Remember last year's pre-season?

We can't judge were we are at with the team that ran out last night and also bearing who we played against. The pies are serial pretenders so wait till we match up with the Dogs, Cats, Hawks and even the Lions and Crows as the next rug down from the best.

I disagree, I was very excited by last night's win, a few kids showed a bit and Leigh Tudor was coaching!SydneySainter wrote:I agree to the extent it wasn't a great performance. You reckon, I'm confused, is this post directed to me?I certainly think it's premature to be getting over-excited at this stage but I also think it's a tad over-dramatic to start hitting the panic button after one pre-season match. Remember last year's pre-season?

I like markp's channelling of rodgerFox better than barks4eva's channelling of RodgerFox.

It is amusing to observe how some just bypass the hook totally and leap straight into the boat.
But the fun soon wears off... I dont know how (or why) he keeps it up.
