This thread or similar runs every year in the off season.
Always a lot of talk.
Usual consensus is a "Saintsational Cap".
But nothing ever happens.
Must be time for the 2010 discussion?

Re: Saintsational shirts or caps?
Thanks for pushing this. Yesterday I went to the Intra Club game by myself and couldn't find anyone. I nearly went up to Michael Roberts to ask him if he could get Saintsational people to put their hands up. I have suggested the cap a couple of times, even if we could just find each other in the Victory Room.saintsational wrote:Continuing from http://saintsational.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4139 I have made a poll to see what people would rather, after that we can discuss designs and then vote on them.
Caps would obviously be cheaper that shirts, but different designs will range in price...
I am happy to just wear a cap with the website masthead on the front.
I brought it up at the post game drinks with the forumites but not a lot of enthusiasm. Can we get club approval?

Cap. But then again, I like to wear my member's cap to games, so maybe a shirt if its going to be one of the two.
I quite like Bev's suggestion of a button type badge like player badges. Cheap (so we could all get one), easy to produce (i would think?), no stuffing around trying to choose (and then produce) correct sizes, easy to dispatch by mail to any who can't collect in person, can be worn anywhere, any time, any event, any weather and if we make them clear and distinct they would be easy to spot by fellow SSers.

I am also not a fan of caps, but if I do wear one it will be a St Kilda one, and NOT a Saintsational cap, also I wear a Saints guernsey at games, so I would not wear a Saintsational shirt.Milan Faletic wrote:With respect Bev, how many games will you wear it to. How about a badge (like the player badges) then you can put it on anything and its cheap.

There are a few off season topics we haven't ticked off yet too
e.g. should be change the song?
IF we got anything id think a badge is really the best option
Discreet, cheap and doesnt interfere with the Clubs own merch
You can have any number of badges but wear only one cap or shirt..and in the depths of winter who wears just a tee or polo shirt to games?

I can see why this gets brought up every year and doesn't get resolved.
I actually keep my member's caps for collectors items. I just want the cap so when I go to a game I can spot other forumites. I won't spot anyone with a badge, they're too small.
I also think a visible cap will promote the website and may encourage more people to join.
Oh well, I'll go with whatever but it's looking like it won't happen.

And Yes
Exactly !
Shirts etc. are no good as the weather is too variable.
I always wear an old cap to games with old badges on it.
But happy to swap for a "Saintsational" cap.
If someone knows how to create them the site could charge $20 or whatever and put any profits towards maintaining the site.

Fair call, but I wouldn't even wear the Premiers Cap, I just don't wear them. With a badge, you can put it on a cap, jacket, tshirt what ever.Milan Faletic wrote:With respect Bev, how many games will you wear it to. I don't think anything that Saintsatinal do would be a problem. with St Kilda. We have our own SEQ polos that we wear to the official functions the club hold up here are they have never said a word.
I just thought a badge might be easier to organise also.

Your polos would be good up there, Bev. Do you use the logo on your avatar?Saint Bev wrote:Fair call, but I wouldn't even wear the Premiers Cap, I just don't wear them.
