Anyone can sponsor a player, my friend and I have sponsored Kosi this year ( birthday present ) it was a great night..... I don't know if they are a business or individual....goodie wrote:Yes, I know that, I was wondering if they'd individually sponsored a player or were part of a business or another sponsorship pooljk23 wrote:You need to be a sponsor to get a ticket ....goodie wrote:I'm curious, how did you get tickets Iceman & Enrico?

Each player can have up to 4 sponsors.
The sponsorship is a fixed amount payable upfront.
There are 4 tiers, Captain, Leadership, Core and Development.
So Roo is $3000 through to $1350 for Development.
But a "sponsor" can be a syndicate.
eg Saintsational are selling their sponsorships off in $15 shares.
In return, your syndicate gets ...
- 2 tickets to Official 2010 St Kilda Football Club Season launch,
- including a photo with your sponsored player
- 2 tickets to the 2010 St Kilda FC Hall of Fame dinner
- 2 tickets to the pinnacle of the St Kilda Football Club calendar, the 2010 JELD-WEN Best And Fairest dinner
- 2 tickets to exclusive Player Sponsor's match-day event
- Signed framed memorabilia piece, which includes action shot of player & photograph taken at Season Launch
- Priority Access to purchase additional tickets to Hall of Fame, Best & Fairest and Player Sponsor's match-day event
- Recognition of sponsorship on chosen player's locker at Linen House Oval
- Recognition of sponsorship on saints.com.au and at Player Sponsor's match-day event
So all up it is not bad value.
When we win the flag this year those free B&F tickets will be worth their weight in gold.

I was fortunate enough to be there and can't speak highly enough of the players I spoke with, Tommy Walsh, Sam Gilbert and Kosi...all very engaging, relaxed and looking forward to the season proper.
I introduced my wife to Kosi and told him he owes her $100 because of a goal he missed at the start of a match when she drew him in the 'first goal kicker' raffle...he just smiled and said to her, "that will teach you for gambling" Then as he was leaving he said "I'll win you that $100 back this season." A ripping bloke.
Sam Gilbert is amazingly nice and approachable as is Tommy Walsh.
Also had the pleasure of chatting with Billy Miller (a very mature aged recruit ) Thanked him for some awesome nights at my footy club in the 80s. He was there with his wife and son...lovely people. He told me a friend of his son or nephew who was drafted by Port with Pick 16 had been spoken to by the Saints and that if he was available at Pick 16 they'd pick him up. The kid was rapt as he was a mad Saint's supporter. But then the Lovett deal got struck
