If they think it is a danger for the players they may call it off and rightly so. We are only practicing for another practice match a week later. Having said that because it will be our last practice match before the real practice matches they are likely to go ahead. Carlton were going to have 2 games so calling theirs off wasnt as big a deal.

I would hope that nothing short of a tropical downpour of the highest magnitude would cause the game to be called off

Is there really that much higher risk of injury in the wet??

those were the days getting asked on friday I need 10 strong guys to move hoses

which created 10 less ppl working on the banners

I was in the squad 84-94
and a very famous ex saint used to come in and grab us
for the sprinkler work
I myself think they would have been better on dry grounds oh well
