Maybe ask B4Eva and Yipper who 'quoted' it originally.

They'll have the transcript somewhere, otherwise they wouldn't make claims like they did so emphatically.
I don't really mind who posts it, I would just like to have a read thanks.

You are the acuser smartarse!! You produce the "evidence" to back up the accusations made that I am a liar. I attended the B&F of 2008, I specifically heard Rob Harvey announce that Lyon was the best coach he had played under at StKilda. You can go and get stuffed!!!!

I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

As for me getting the year wrong, apologies. 2006 has always stuck in my head as RL's first year as when he was appointed.

My memory says that Harvey made the call that Lyon was the best coach he had played under.

And that for me, is the end of that.
And that's why you're a good poster.

You won't go on stalking for 4 pages trying to 'win' and go off on tangents about 'corporate structures' and the like in a bid to start a slanging match.

Oh shut up for christ sake Rodger...You great stander upperer for the rights of the down trodden....Get this Rodger....I think you are the bully....and good enough at it to be able to pretend to be the victim all the time also....

Its really annoying when an opinionated prat wont accept that people dont like him....maybe if you got over yourself a bit people might actually want you around....get it?

OK I'll have a go

In short Rodg..you frustrate the hell out of a lot of people on here...and heres a few reasons why..

1. You only post here when you find an opportunity to criticise our coaching staff. Now thats not a crime, but when its the ONLY topic you ever discuss..EVER...and you manipulate other threads to do it..well..its frustrating. Even your otherwise well written Fox Reports are skewed that way. Wins are a triumph for the players, losses are the fault of the coach

2. When challenged on your opinion, you have a bad habit of dismissing others like youre a uppity schoolteacher talking to a group of silly little children. "Its clear on here who's played football and who hasnt" is a recent example. Of course thats going to get people annoyed

3. When asked to provide proof or further evidence for your claims, you either turn their questions around to questions of your own...or vanish for a week.

4. A final point of the "Harvey quote" if I may? It started off as your word vs the others on what was said. Thats fine, no dramas Then..you upped the ante by calling the others liars. Of course that is going to get up peoples noses, what did you expect?? Then when repeatedly asked by those you called liars to provide just a skerrick of proof, you just refused to, and then launch into a huge rant on how hard done by you are, hoping IMHO to deflect the discussion once again. The other posters get frustrated..I wonder why?

Yes yipper, please post a link to... your ears??

What a coincidence that such a palaver should break out on the 'I Support the Club' thread..... roll roll.

And this, possibly the greatest time ever to be a Saints fan!

I couldn't care less if I'm 'liked' or if posters 'want me around'. I couldn't give a stuff.

I also think that if I 'frustrate' posters, then stiff shiit. I get frustrated too - but don't continually abuse, antagonise, and attempt to intimidate other posters due to it.

I was under the impression this forum had rules. Rules designed to ensure that people can freely vent opinions without being bullied, stalked and harrassed.

This obviously isn't the case.

It seems, from what you've written, is that if the bullies get upset with your comments, then you're fair game in terms of what people can say to and about you.

I think that's disappointing.

Do you want me to quote some of the things I've been told by Board members and current players that have helped me form my views on the club currently?

And based on what I'm reading, it will all be considered fact unless someone else can prove otherwise?

So you hang around a group of people who dont like you, spouting things that you know will annoy them. Then complain about them being bullies. You know what? That is pathetic. I now feel sorry for you Rodger

I don't think you should call people liars though Roger, given that you are only relying on media transcripts of what took place and they were actually there in person.

Isn't this all just a little bit humourless?

I understand why the Fox gets up people's noses, but fact is there's no rule saying he can't, just as there's no rule saying that fish have to nibble the worm.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

The only sad thing Bob, is that Roger continues with this 'I am only a casual observer, I have no love for the game' charade.

Roger, just admit that you still have a strong attachment to the St Kilda football club and be done with it.

Not that it matters, I am convinced this is the case.

Yes.

As long as you can relay who said it and when.... ideally with several hundred others who were in attendance and can corroborate.

I think we all know that that if you do indeed have these contants..that requoting them on here would not make them very happy :-)

Crying??

Merely pointing out the cowardice that exists in here. If I was 'crying' about it, it would most likely impact the way I post. In case you haven't noticed, it doesn't phase me one iota and I will, and do, continue to post precisely the way I always have.

Your post above is a perfect example. A cry for 'backup'. Get others involved. Address the masses when referring to me.

I've always posted the way I do. From day one. The only difference to now, is that the posse doesn't agree with me.

With us or against us!!

Funny.

The very next post after yours is calling me a liar.

Where's the uproar?? Where's the outrage?? Where's the call for them to prove that I don't know a Board member and/or players??

Classic SS once again.

Does anyone know who the mods are? I'm fascinated to know what their view on all this abuse that I've recently begun quoting is.

Like Yipper?? Somewhere between 2006 and 2008 ey? Is that accurate enough??

Classic stuff again.

And let's not get the B&F speech mixed up with what we're talking about here.

Robert Harvey allegedly said in 2007 that Ross Lyon is the best coach he's ever had.

Never seen any proof of this. And it's very different to the two separate interviews form the same time that I read and saw.

Hey sook, you need to double check who you are quoting. I said straight out it was the 2008 B & F night speech. No ambiguity there. But carry on with the sooking. it is fun.

Carn Rodge...tell us what Robert really told you while you were having dinner with him and the Board :)

Personally I think Stan was the best coach Robert ever had.

I'm not whinging at all.

As you'd know, and it's supported by the response I get on here, what others think and say about me isn't exactly high on my list of worries.

What I'm highlighting, is the cowardly cyber-bullying tactics that grown adults on here use on other posters.

It's a crackup. If it wasn't quite a serious social issue, it would be even more funny to witness.

Like high school girls.
