I don't have much time for rf and his convolutions, but I don't think it's fair to say he attacked a "cancer sufferer". He attacked (in a not particularly vicious way) another "name" on an anonymous forum who then volunteered the information that he was a cancer sufferer.
Perhaps he should have apologised. Perhaps he did privately: I don't know.
But this is a forum of anonymous posters (albeit that some know each other in real life). As with the nonsense about White South Africans on the GF, we all need to stop taking offence on our own behalf, or that of others, in relation to posts by people whom we have never met, and possibly will
never meet, and perhaps aren't even who we think they are.
As some who have recently posted on this thread would be well aware, it wasn't so long ago that we had two identities flaming off at each other and whom I strongly suspect were both being operated by the same person.
I'm sick to death of the "tar and feather him and run him out of town" attitude some seem to have towards rf.
If he wasn't here, calling you "liars", you'd all miss him I reckon

barks doesn't mind the cut and thrust of the forum but yipper is an infrequent forum user who does not deserved to be slandered and accused of being a liar when he is just passing on what he heard Robert Harvey say.meher baba wrote: If he wasn't here, calling you "liars", you'd all miss him I reckon
Nice of you to defend RF though mb. My posts were all couretous and just asked him to give the forum a link.
AFAIAC and most reasonable people would believe it as well, the burden of proof is on the person making the accusation.
Why was it wrong to ask for corroborated proof? When I did RF got personal and tried to deflect and smokescreen, ignored the request and then ran away.
Why should he get away with calling two other posters liars and not be brought to account? Especially when it looks as though they may not be the ones who are liars after all?
I dont quite understand your staunch defence and rather emotional "tar and feather rubbish". i wasn't out to tar and feather him, I just wanted a link.
As far as the insults to Milan. I didn't know anything about it, thats why I asked, but wouldn't you agree that any decent person would apologise?
If RF did, I dont know, all I said was that it would be the decent thing to do.
Dont you agree?
Lance or James??

He sort of apologised recently on a PM so all is good from my perspective. There were only 2 negatives in the recent kerfuffle but there were at least 20 positive PMs maybe even 30 in 24 hours. That's why I decided to come back on to the forum. It restored my faith in the forum.joffaboy wrote:As far as the insults to Milan. Instead of deflecting , what about showing the forum some corroborating evidence?
You called B4E and yipper liars but have yet to show any substantive evidence to back up your wild allegation.
Really RodgerFox, an reasonable person would believe that is the correct action so the credability of the accuser would have some veracity.
Found the link Rodger?
Seems not.
Oh dear....
How embarrassing for you.....

Well lucky for you Lumpy, it's none of your business so you have no need to think about it at all.joffaboy wrote:Would have thought a full unreserved apology would have been in order.Milan Faletic wrote:

You can move along trying to 'win' discussions and 'out maneuver' everyone, as you put it, and stay out of other posters' affairs.
Perhaps if you'd like to get involved in matters that have nothing to do with you, you can PM people involved to see if they care to include you.
And before you get too high up on your high horse about 'making it personal', please don't forget to aggressively attack other posters in this thread too for the following (including yourself, unless your account has yet again been hacked)....
"Well then, WTF are you doing here then? Its all bad bad bad, just give it up and go find a rock to curl up under"
"to take post out of context makes you a .LIAR RodgerFox"
"Right on queue from the great baiter"
"You have NFI and know SFA!"
"You make it up as you go along, YOU'RE A LIAR!"
"Anyway RF is a liar, this much we have established!"
"Gutless effort RodgerFox."
"Hopefully now everyone realises this flog just likes to pick fights and run away"
"The guys an absolute moron"
"I think Rodger Fox is as boring as bat s***"
"How old are now Rodger? Could be a long wait...but hey a guy like you must have plenty of time, I mean it's not like there's much else for you to do"
"it makes you sound like a petulant schoolboy.
So link or STFU."
"Give us a link to the two interviews or shut up"
And after all this (and might I add this thread has been pretty tame compared to usual insults from yourself and others towards me) you make this time honoured and absolutely priceless comment.....
"There was no need to get defencive RodgerFox, no need to get personal."
HAHahahahaAHAHAHAH!!!
Seriously, the only thing funnier than the above is how the 'mods' allow this to happen in thread after thread after thread.

Yes it is very funny - especially as the main common denominator in all these threads is um ... you!!!rodgerfox wrote:[

I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

Seriously Rodger, are you a comedian or what?
1. You have still dodged the fact that you have called two posters .LIARS and by association, myself, as I also heard the same comments from the same source.
2. You tell someone to stay out of a conversation on a PUBLIC FORUM?
Too funny.
If you want your posts to be private, post them in PM. Twit.
I have been rolling along giving you the benefit of the doubt for quite some time. I used to have your posts a while back on my 'must read' list.
But lately, you have become a characture of a pretty average poster that I would avoid.
Have a nice day though!!

Ohhh Ok. So the 'mob rules' right? As long as the SS posse outnumbers someone than they're fair game to personally insult and abuse?yipper wrote:Yes it is very funny - especially as the main common denominator in all these threads is um ... you!!!rodgerfox wrote:[

What's funny about it, is the bully mentality. It's obvious why some posters on here find me difficult and resort the bullying attempts - it's simply because I'm not concerned by it.
Bullying doesn't work on me. Posters such as Joffaboy find this very tough to deal with.
Usually posters, when personally attacked and abused will back down and in alot of cases cease posting for fear of more attacks (which will happen).
I don't.
And the posse on here find this very confronting. Confronting to the point where they won't 'attack' me unless they get support from other posters.
The example in this thread is a classic.....
Then minutes later after some 'support' arrives in the form of another poster (oddly I think it may have even been a Mod!), two more aggressive and patronising posts in succession pop up from Joffaboy.joffaboy wrote: I'm going to bed now RodgerFox.
When there was no support around, he was very meek and frankly Ok to have a discussion with. When he was alone he was very different. As soon as 'backup' arrived however, he changed dramatically as a poster and became aggressive, patronising and antagonistic.
Fascinating place this.

Be careful SENsaintsational, you're a very good poster but if you're going to join the crew in trying to 'catch me out', you're going to need to much better than this effort.SENsaintsational wrote:Seriously Rodger, are you a comedian or what?

Too funny.
Joffaboy is passing judgement publicly on something that has nothing to do with this 'conversation', and is no business of anyone. This is why it hasn't been discussed publicly - and why it is not Joffaboy's business.
I have never mentioned 'it' at all. Other posters have tried very hard to drag it up as bait, and as ammunition - but I have never mentioned it publicly once.
So get that straight.
Also, let's be fair dinkum about this 'quote' from Robert Harvey shall we.
B4Eva said....
"At the end of 2007 when we'd finished 9th, Robert Harvey said Ross Lyon is the best coach he's ever had!"
Yipper then jumped in with this gem....
"Robert Harvey did in fact say that - but I think it was after the 2008 season. Definately came out and said that exactly as quoted - also repeated it at the B&F of 2008 as well I recall"
So we have one poster making a loose interpretation of what Robert Harvey said, then another posting saying Robert Harvey said 'exactly what was quote' - when infact nothing was quoted at all.
And both disagree on when it was said.
Then you disagreed with them both and threw this one in ....
"I remember Harvey making that comment back in mid 2006. I thought then it was a big call, hence why I remember it. It was clearly that he called Lyon the best coach he had played under."
So no-one has quoted anything, and everyone disagrees with when it was said.
And, it wasn't what was said at all.
No one has provided a quote. There is no quote from anyone making these huge calls that club legend Robert Harvey has said is the best coach he's ever had (considering he's played under Stan Alves, Darrel Baldock, Ken Sheldon, Malcolm blight, Tim Watson and Grant Thomas).
He never said it at all.
I haven't dodged anything. I've already written what Harvey said. If there's a transcript the original interview, or of the follow up interview with Mike Sheahan then you can read it for yourself to refresh your memory.
B4Eva is a habitual liar. Throws them out there, and if no-one challenges them he's just keep using them over and over again to flog a point.
I called him on this lie the first time he tried it not long after the actual interview took place.
Robert Harvey clearly said that Ross Lyon was the best preparer he'd ever played under.
He praised Lyon as a coach and said that he felt the club was in good hands.
He never said Lyon was the best coach he'd ever had.
That's rubbish. It's a lie and it's misleading to say it, when you know that isn't what was said at all.

Read the last definition and tell me if that reminds you of anyone.
How many times have I actually ever had a discussion with you, that was initiated by me?
Then tell me how many of my interactions with you have been caused by your "cynical or sarcastic remarks" towards me?
You even started talking about me in this thread before I even posted in it!!!
Classic stuff.
Also, try to find one single example where I ever "unleashing one or more cynical or sarcastic remarks on an innocent by-stander".
Just one will do.

I am not a very good poster at all. Rarely post on football matters any more, so I don't accept false praise in an attempt to win me over.
As for me getting the year wrong, apologies. 2006 has always stuck in my head as RL's first year as when he was appointed.
My memory says that Harvey made the call that Lyon was the best coach he had played under.
And that for me, is the end of that.

You won't go on stalking for 4 pages trying to 'win' and go off on tangents about 'corporate structures' and the like in a bid to start a slanging match.
