You say that 'sometimes' it pays to say nothing and acknowledge that those in charge know more about footy than we do.saint66au wrote:Example..
Mid 2008, RL is being rubbished from pillar to post on here. Didnt have a clue, kick him out. Replacements ranged from Kevin Sheedy to the Woop Woop 3rds orange boy. We were rubbish and future under RL could only end in tears. All coming from a bunch of people who were convinced they knew more than our football dept. Not just an opinion, they KNEW he couldnt coach
They are all looking pretty stupid now eh? Sometimes it just pays to say "Well I'll put my faith in the experts, I hope they know what they are doing" That is not blind faith
What does 'sometimes' equate to? How often should we do that. 18 months after it's obviously going to be OK?
Did you sit back watching the team under Tim Watson thinking 'well he played a lot of top level footy?'. If we appoint Warrick Capper next year will you look up his goal kicking stats and feel reassured?
Are you saying you weren't concerned about the way the team played in 2007 and into 2008? I think the fact that the team now plays a radically different style (attack ball carrier rather than zone off) suggests that people were right to be worried.
And if you are worried about your club, and there is a club forum, and you were a memebr of the forum, wouldn't you write that?
It's the people who never have an opinion who offer nothing to a forum. And this is another post that says nothing:
Who has an opinion they think isn't correct? I have never used an emoticon before but here goes....saint66au wrote:Not just an opinion, they KNEW he couldnt coach
