teams to miss out by a game or %: North, Blues

everyone thinks the hawks will be back, but they will be worst this year! laugh all you want now, but just wait about 22 weeks when we are near the end of the H&A season

il edit this post and put it that Sydney will replace WCE spot, wce will drop to 9th and Richmond will replace sydney's spot.

I hear ya about Hawthorn, I just have this funny feeling that they will bounce back harder than some people think.
What is suprising me is that so many people think Geelong are going to finish top. They can't be good forever can they? I honestly think they will finish top 4 just and I believe they will start to slide this year very slowly. (HOPEFULLY)

1/ Saints - can't understand the pessimism, why would we be worse than last year - and don't give me the "they'll work us out crap".

2/ Cats - they'll be pretty similar to last year with perhaps a little alzheimers creeping into the elderly in the group - 10% downrating.

3/ Dogs - Should be up and about given last year's level of development - can't actually see Barry Buthead making that much impact apart from the odd head butt. Why aren't the papers talking about how he and Johno will gel?

4/ Maggies - They haven't had a decent ruckman in yonks - if they can keep Jolly on the park it'll improve them - Ball to have early impact then fade out with soggy groin.

5/ Hawks - Actually I can't even think why - this team doesn't have the X factor they used to have - they have a lot to prove to themselves and the public.

6/ Lions - If they can balance Fev and Brown they'll have some targets

7/ Crows - Their young brigade is starting to come of age - Tippet, Van Berlo, etc

8/ Bluebaggers - According to the theories of some around here you don't even need a coach so with all the no 1 draft picks they should bolt it in.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

cats will start the swift slide..will be gone by 2011.

hawks won't inevitably rise again.

dees will start like a steam train, then drop off toward the end . richmond could do the same.

dogs will probably be good again as will 'pies.

west coast and adelaide will come good...crows were pretty good.

don't know if voss' foreign legion will work...but it's a pretty good team on paper.

north will be hard under the licensed thug scott (remember his dog act in '05).

carlton will be sh%te, essendon is the new richmond.

Could be the closest season to date, have a feeling that it will be 1-2 games and % between 5 - 11

1. saints
2. collingwood
3. geelong
4.adelaide
5.western bulldogs
6. essendon
7. west coast
8. brisbane
9. sydney
10. carlton
11.north melbourne
12. hawks
13. richmond
14. melbourne
15. Port adelaide
16. freo

% to seperate the top 2, the pies will stay top till the last couple of rounds. We will see all the "best side in 20 years, pies to win flag" and they will go out in straight sets. Cats to do enough to makethe top4 and crows slip into 4th after the dogs lose their last 4. Barry hall is suspended and a couple of injuries late spoil the dogs season. West coast are the bolters and with a young midfield firing they make a prelim, losing in the final quarter to the saints.

Saints cats grand final and this time the saints take their chances. After leading at half time the cats look the better teambut an inspired thir quarter by roo and walsh see's the saints kicking 6 goals to 1. Running all over them in the final quarter the saints win by 49 points and become imortal.

BUMP, told you I would

Nobody picked the Pies for the minor premiership, I am totally regretting buying into the Voss hype and picking Freo last

Brisbane were the biggest mistake. Almost everyone over-estimated Voss.
Pies were most under-rated. Noone had them dominating he season.
Freo were a surprise packet and Adelaide were below expectations.
Hawks were opinion dividers. Many had them top 4. Many had them bottom 8. This was reflected in their actual season they have been up and down like roller yo yos.
