i guess the term make or break may not have been the most appropriate to use.

All i meant was that we'd find out this year whether Gram will be an excellent player for us or just an ok player

When he first got to the club and over the last 2-3 years, you couldn't read a training report without hearing about Gram burning it up. To me, it doesn't seem the same this year.
And his performances in games, certain aspects like contesting the ball 1:1, accountability etc have dropped off big time.

Is this the same J Gram who came 2nd or 3rd in our B&F in 2008? Wasn't great this year but a great performance in a GF says a lot in my eyes and you don't come top 3 in B&F by being a donkey.
Skeptic I think you are being a bit sceptical!

He needs to get back that long precision kicking that was his trademark 2 or 3 years ago.
In 2009 he was no longer kicking goals from outside 50.
In 2009 he was no longer delivering long pinpoint accurate passes to forward targets.

Get that long accurate kicking dimension back and he becomes one of our key players.

He needs to learn to take the ball from half back, run and carry flat out and send a 60 metre kick to full forward and hit Roo on the chest.

Then run back to the centre, take the hit out, rove the ball and then drill a goal from 70 out.

Re Rhyce, does his role, gets rewarded.
That's why J Blake always does well in our B&F's.

i guess i'll have to concede this argument... i'm clearly in the minority here

i guess if people are happy with Gram being a medium to average player throughout his career and playing 1-2 excellent games a season of his GF performance calibre then so be it.
Me, i think he has the potential to be an excellent player... maybe not elite but some1 who can regularly cut opponents apart.

As a player last year, i put him in the same category as say Farren Ray. Played a few good games, a lot of medium ones and few ineffective ones... this is not a dig a Farren but he's much much better than that.
