"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

We are not six months behind North. We won't be there until after next season.saintspremiers wrote:WOW!
Isn't it exciting????
Anyone?
Someone?
On a side note, I heard on the blower that North's training site at Arden St is now completed.
Shame we are 6 months behind lowly North in the training stakes!
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell
remind me when the roos had to fight wit the local council over trees in a carpark.... c'mon lets talk apples and apples people!

Nearly all councillors are farknarkles, so no doubt the ones that look after Arden St are clueless also.
The issue is how you handle the council in question and get around their never ending stupidity.
Councils by default are anti-development.
Well, that is what it appears in nearly all cases I've heard!

"There’s strong vanilla on the nose of the 80-proof spirit, but the taste is all medicinal, old-school vodka like mom used to make. Though it goes down fairly smoothly, the finish is pretty harsh, with a lingering aftertaste that turns bitter after a few seconds, with a grain- and herb-like character that I’d attribute to the rye base."

Good on North for getting their deals in order and getting their facilities completed.saintspremiers wrote:

We could be a lot further advanced to if we had been prepared to accept a compromised and inferior end product.
It is a shame we will have to wait longer than we should have but we will have the elite facilities we deserve soon enough.

Will probably always have to be at Frankston Park, simply because the impact on local residents of having it at Belvedere Park would cause a backlash.Saint Bev wrote:Surprised nobody noticed this -

Not all it seems – Agreement executed between MFC and Casey Council in June 2009 for MFC facility at Casey Fields. Construction underway in September 2009 and due for completion in March 2010.saintspremiers wrote:

it is actually one of the most boring events you could possibly go to in the history of the St. Kilda F.CSaint Bev wrote:Surprised nobody noticed this -

Nice of them to hold it on my Birthday, just a pity I can't be there
nothing happens
its always windy and cold in frankston whenever i go down there! same as bloody port games at Aami, we could play them at 2.10pn Jan 20th in the middle of summer and some how it will bucket down.

So how can they complete the project in only 6 months Casey?casey scorp wrote: Not all it seems – Agreement executed between MFC and Casey Council in June 2009 for MFC facility at Casey Fields. Construction underway in September 2009 and due for completion in March 2010.
is it because it's a reno rather than a greenfields site which ours is?

Exactly, Melbourne are not based at Casey. They have just built a shelter shed to keep out of the wind.saintspremiers wrote:So how can they complete the project in only 6 months Casey?casey scorp wrote: Not all it seems – Agreement executed between MFC and Casey Council in June 2009 for MFC facility at Casey Fields. Ah yes we can. Topsy then got replaced by the moron who was running the Moorabbin Urban forest. The same group who was trying to turn the carpark into a garden. He is a prominent Hawthorn member from memory and has not wanted us at that site for years upon years.saintspremiers wrote:We can't keep on blaming Topsy Stupid.Solar wrote:remind me when the roos had to fight wit the local council over trees in a carpark.... c'mon lets talk apples and apples people!
