but at the end of 2010 the saints will have outstanding facilities at seaford. so doubt that he will have much to complain about. he still left North when they were about to move into great facilities as well! it may not be about the facilities but the physios. doctors and rehab

Given our success last year dealing with soft tissue injuries and having Misson on board I'm sure he can't be too disappointed about joining us.

The Dorks didn't seem to do too well on the injury front last year either despite their elite training facilities.

At 22 even though the injuries have been the concern hes worth the punt.

When Ive seen this guy on the park Ive often thought he goes allright and didnt know his disposal was that good.......

Using ALL of my medical expertise (absolutely zero), I suspect that his hamstring problems came about as the result of a changing running style that came about as a result of his ankle problems.

Puting that horrible word "IF" in here;

IF we can get his body right he could end up being the bargain of the Draft !!

Really happy with this - never even considered it.

He is a gun, the only question is injuries.

Better than any other prospect at 60.

Yeah couldn't be happier, I never had him in our equations I thought he would be gone by pick 32!!

Jesse W Smith, son of Ross Smith (the Kangas one) pick 42 in 2004 draft under F&S rule. Born 29/9/86, so he is 23. Previously played with Aberfeldie and the Calder U18s.

Always a risk taking someone with such a history of soft tissue injury.

You can hardly call this bloke a gun since he has hardly been on the park apart from one good season.

I guess Misson has the track record though.

Worry with this is his ankle not hamstring. Word i have been told from source at North is his ankle is pretty stuffed.
I am not a Dr so i would hope Stk has done due diligence and confident that they can fix the problem, if so then would be a steal. As RL said though not much else left at 60

The wraps on Smith have been huge since he was first taken under the father son rule and he is like getting another Goddard, talent wise and also in the roles he plays across half back, or on the wing.
We wouldn't even need him to get 100% for him to be a great pick-up, if Stuart Dew helping Hawthorn win a flag is anything to go by.

Gee I dont know. I hope he lasts. NMFC genuinely upset at having lost him.
would have to be smarter than clarke (not hard). just hope he can last. ruddy hell, what does he need, acupuncture? what is it? what does he need to ensure his ankle's are stable? ruddy hell i dont know. at least it's not his knee's. the way NMFC were they were struggling for tape.
Misso will strap him up and do a bit of acupuncture. he'll be sweet.

Despite all of Scott's hype, North Melbourne is down the ladder and destined to be there for some time.
He may also have suspected North Melbourne in desperation would use him before his body had recovered from further injury.

hes a friggin gun. im stoked to have him.

wayyyyyyyy too early to write someone off at 22 over injuries. bodys take time to adjust to all the training at senior level. if we are smart we can get him up. not saying north arent. but sometimes it just gets frustrarting for player and club and they get sick of each other because injuries are stressful on both parties. i reckon we may have a friggin star. heck hes future captain material.
