SAINTSATIONAL FOOTY TRIP 2010 ??? !!
After checking out the 2010 FIXture I came up with a thought that we could/should/might organize a trip to one of our Interstate games for those of us who can only get to one of these per year for whatever reason. The game that appears the most practicable of these is the Port game at AAMI Stadium on Sat (night) 24 April.
I know that they offer plenty of low cost airfares over the Christmas-New Year period for that time and I'm sure we could find some reasonable accomodation for a group booking for the night. If flying is too expensive, could we take a convoy of cars over?
Just a thought. Anyone interested? There is plenty of time and this is just an idea. If anyone has a better idea, throw it up.
Mods..If this takes off could you please make it a "Sticky" !!

Great idea, Eastern. Alternative Round 1 at ANZ Stadium and could stay at the hotel near the stadium. Just a thought.

ive said this a billion times, actually more than that!!!
i dont see why the MW (or SS supporters group) dont do what the port adelaide "outer army" do. they are just a group of people who sit in the same bay at hame games (like the mw) and they have their own flags and they hire a mini bus and go interstate. i rate them much higher than the port cheer squad.
here is the group that i am always talking of on their road trips.
all of these people are from the outer army. as you can see they have their own flags, floggers, banners etc.
they do go to every game, there was an awesome photo of about 40 of them at the gabba this year with flags and floggers except i cant find it.
i reckon the MW could eaisly turn into something like this, or even a SS army...just a thought

They have flying machines now, BS, and I hear it's a lot quicker than driving.Bernard Shakey wrote:Another day?st_Trav_ofWA wrote:or you could drve for anothe day and get free beers from RogerWA.....(:
Last time I drove to WA, I was 40 years younger and it took me 4 days then.
PS. I'm not so young either, I took the ship to Perth.

I'm with you Bev, Qld would be my first option.Saint Bev wrote:Come on guys, who would want to go to SA. Have a break from the Melbourne weather and come and join us in sunny Saints friendly Qld. You know you won't regret it
This is a great idea though, it would be good to get on a road (air) trip with a group from here.
I'm already going to the round 1 Sydney game, it coincides with my anniversary so any distraction would be more than welcomed
I have pencilled in the Gabba game & there's a very good chance I could make the round 22 trip to Adelaide.

Remember boys and girls, that Monday 26 April is a public holiday (because Anzac Day is on a Sunday and Brumby changed the legislation to allow it to happen!).
So we have a 3 day weekend on our hands.
looks like it dools ... do you only read your posts youngun ?
anyways ....a 3 dayer in melbourne means a 3 dayer aussie wide dunnit ?
