De-Listed SAINTS ? !!
I know we have until 2.00pm on Fri 30 Oct to announce our 1st round of de-listings but it seems that we are in the minority of clubs yet to make an anouncement on this.
Can someone please post which clubs have and have not announced their de-listings !!

This site has a list of all the trades, retirements and delistings. Don't know how up to date it is. From the looks of it, its seem that the Eagles, Richmond and Hawthorn may still have some delistings.

SAINTS DON"T GET DELISTED, THEY GO TO HEAVEN INSTEAD.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.
If you are not engaging AI actively and aggressively, you are doing it wrong.
You are not going to lose your job to AI.
You are going lose your job to somebody who uses AI.
Your company is not going to go out of business because of AI.
Your company is going to go out of business because another company used AI.

Egan will retire 31 October despite having a year to run on his contract.Solar wrote:is egan retired?
Geelong and he have agreed to terminate his contract and then Geelong will appoint him as a coach.
This means he will get paid his money for next year outside the salary cap.
I believe he will become Geelong's beer drinking coach.

Maybe he has to be delisted to avoid next years part of his contract from counting against the salary cap.Solar wrote:cheers, ace wrote:Egan will retire 31 October despite having a year to run on his contract.Solar wrote:is egan retired?

Don't think Essendon can delist any more players than what they have.bergholt wrote:i'd suggest there'd still be a bit to come from:Eastern wrote:I know we have until 2.00pm on Fri 30 Oct to announce our 1st round of de-listings but it seems that we are in the minority of clubs yet to make an anouncement on this.

John Williams, Atkinson, Nash, Lloyd, Lucas and Skipworth won't be on their lists next year. Obviously they gain Williams but that's still all their 5 picks in the National Draft to fill the spots

I believe thats correct Ace. If he retired, they would have to pay out his salary and it would come under this years salary cap which would have put them over. They can no longer afford to have him on their list when he hasn't played at all since just before the 2007 finals. I read an article in GF week (don't ask me where ) where it said he was planning on still trying to get back and they have said they will try and redraft him if he makes it (which I believe is unlikely). Apparently he will be paid as a coach next year and will still be around the club. All sounds a bit dodgy to me.ace wrote:Maybe he has to be delisted to avoid next years part of his contract from counting against the salary cap.Solar wrote:cheers, ace wrote:Egan will retire 31 October despite having a year to run on his contract.Solar wrote:is egan retired?

Found the article I was referring to
http://news.theage.com.au/breaking-news ... -ez43.html
It talks about him continuing on as an assistant coach next year, and the possibilty of them redrafting him down the track. It doesn't mention how his pay would be treated under the salary cap though...
