Should we replace Choo Choo

with Tommy Walsh sponsored by the good Folk at Saintsational?

(Saint66au mentioned this in the Tommy Walsh thread but I think it deserves a thread on its own?

I am for it.

Without supporting or canning the idea, we should vote at the appropriate time as we have done previously.

He would get my vote though.

re sponsorship - why do we sponsor fully fledged players and not just rookies?

Well whoever got Choo-Choo's memorabilia certainly scored a limited edition.

Pricing is staggered into three levels - leadership ($1950), core ($1500) and development ($1050). Aside from the joy of supporting our young talent, we get more.

And we took the decisoin to sponsor a couple of 'core group' players who didn't ahve sponsors the previous year.

The Club sells up to 5 sponsorships for each player - some players sell out all 5, others don not sell even 1.

My suggestion would be to start with the basic-2 or three again
and then depending on interest go to 4

and then see who ISNT sponsored closer to first event and go the 5th then..

get a wider spread of players that way- rather than just the ' popular ones.

PS the above were THIS years 2009- Prices- THESE may also change.........

Choo Choo did a poo poo and took the sponsorship money and ran.

Apparently he was told by his manager that Collingwood were prepared to pay him $500k per year and would trade Rocca to get him.
