Who collects footy jumpers?

Post: # 849194Post SydneySainter »

Seems to be a popular hobby among many footy supporters.

Anyone here have a Saints footy jumper collection they'd like to brag about?

Mine's quite small, but the yellow jumper in my collection is probably my favourite, as it was certainly a crusade to find one. I'm also a huga fan of my 2005 heritage jumper.

I have a large collection.

I've been collecting them for years.

Some of them are:

66 Woolly collared Jumper
2008 and 2009 clash jumpers
yellow peril
Red Cross
2003,2004,2005 and 2006 jumpers
A Robert Harvey 324 Jumper
A #35 21 years Robert Harvey Jumper

I also have most of the training jumpers

There are a couple I am still searching for:

the 1996 Centennial jumper with the lacing printed on them and
the 1981/1982 year jumper where we added a"groovey"number font (it was a double line style).

for those interested:

is a brilliant source for the various jumpers worn by all clubs over the years.

I am still hurting from 71;
my gut churns thinking of 97;
2009 was agony,
2010a was a pleasure to watch only to be devastated by 2010 b.
It hurts barracking for the Saints

The 03 and 06 heritage jumper is what I'm after. I have them both, but the 03 is an XXL size, would like it in an M or L and the 06 is a longsleeve, would like a sleevless.

But, beggars can't be chosers!

I have one with the white collar on it from around 1984. I used to have a Gilbeys Gin training jumper but that went missing years and years ago. (I wore it as a kid - not sure these days about an 11-year-old walking around promoting gin!) I've got the hot-cross-bun jumper from 1997. I also have the 1996 centenary one, which is probably my favourite. I'm desperate to find one of the candy-stripe away jumpers we were a few years ago. I didn't buy one at the time and can't find one anywhere now. :(

Still waiting for closure ... if you get my drift.

Love my collection.
Signed jumpers - Gwilt, Blake, Ball, Riewoldt, Hamil, Harvey, Ditterich, Roberts, Kosi/Jones, Hayes, Burke, Winmar, Voss/Max/Burke.

Heritage Round Jumpers - 2003, 2005,2006
Team of the century jumpers - Harvey, Loewe
Philip Morris - Long sleeve

Framed - Harvey Team of the Century, Harvey 97-98 Brownlow, 2004 Team, 2005 Team. 2002 Team, Stuart Loewe (Mortgage House jumper), Barry Breen NO. 27, Cowboy Neale No. 18, 2005 Heritage jumper Fraser Gehrig, Baldock, Stewart.

Frankie Coghlan lives down the road (about 50kms). He's next.

Many many more. 60 in total. Rather partial to the tops with Tooheys and Phillip Morris. Sponsors that really stood for something.

i dont really call it a collection, but some do seeing as i refuse to throw any of the ones out that dont fit any more.

* i have my old hot cross bun.
* home jumper with Bill express logo under the saints logo (i think 05 home)
* home jumper with bill express logo above (06???)
* home jumper with bill express on the front and vodafone on the back (07)
* 2 clash jumpers 2008 design.
* 1 home jumper 2008
* also have a long sleve 2004 heritage jumper, this is the one where the home strip is also on the back and the number is in a black box.
* long sleve candy stripe jumper from the 04/05 days.
* also bought a woolen replica of the 1966 jumper off ebay not too long ago.

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

My collection has an authentic 03 herritage jumper with the number 57 (one of the blood jumpers I belive) on it. Baught from the club after the game for $200 its the pride of my small collection.
