Kosi's hand injury
We were all very critical of Kosi's late season slump, which happened since he tore the webbing in his hand and played the rest of season with the glove.
There were a few who asked the question as to why Kosi wasn't losing the glove for set shots, like Lynch or Cloke. After having a watch of this years final against the Pies, I noticed that the glove was actually taped to his wrist.
Perhaps his hand injury was worse than we all thought?

Bad management is bad management
Re: Kosi's hand injury
He has no fingers, it is one of those gloves to pretend you have fingers when you dont really, so in hindsight he did really wellSydneySainter wrote:We were all very critical of Kosi's late season slump, which happened since he tore the webbing in his hand and played the rest of season with the glove.

Re: Kosi's hand injury
I believe that the injury was worse than what we thought it was..if i remember correctly roo done his webbing last season and only wore a glove for 4 or so games..SydneySainter wrote:We were all very critical of Kosi's late season slump, which happened since he tore the webbing in his hand and played the rest of season with the glove.

speaking of hands
I still chuckle at the Media hype on "Taylor playing with abroken hand and beating Nick R"
Cats club doctor chuckled when he was asked on the monday and Said not broken- but the media continued to go with the story all week
this week it was further refuted and explained as being a 'stinger' in the hand

He split the hand right down to the wrist. Probably should have had surgery straight after he did it, if he could have got back for Round 20-21. He injured his hand in Round 16.
These are the sort of "weird" injuries that seem to happen to Kosi. But he was clearly better before the injury, except for the first five minutes of the Qualifying Final v Collingwood. He took Scarlett apart in Round 14. Scarlett won't be "better" next year.
Kosi is 27 next year, and barring injury, should have his best year.

He turned 27 two weeks ago....ThePunter wrote:He split the hand right down to the wrist. Probably should have had surgery straight after he did it, if he could have got back for Round 20-21. He injured his hand in Round 16.

Makes it Bloody difficult when one of your greatest assets is your ability to mark the ball. There was also talk of nerve damage at the time !!ThePunter wrote:He split the hand right down to the wrist. NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Kosi needs to do more than just take big marks- especially in finals..he was flat as a pancake, along with Milne. Two experienced players who looked like schoolboy footballers in the big league on our most important day. I'll let Raph off the hook as he didn't do too bad for most of the GF after his couple of clangers, and he has a lot of development left yet, same for McQualter.
