Thank you Luke Ball
I'm disappointed you're leaving but thanks for your service to the club.
He bled for us on more than one occasion and anyone having a go at him should look at this video clip (particularly the end).
Having said that I hope the St Kilda Football Club do what is best for them.

Personally seeing as his contract was offered to him ages ago I could imagine it went like this:GrumpyOne wrote:Thank you for what?
Cracking the sh1ts about being dropped to the twos and wanting to play for the filth?
Compare that with Dal and Milney's response to being dropped.
Contract offer
Crack s***s
Bad Form
Dropped.

funny that. I posted on here at the time that Luke was unhappy and that was one reason why he was dropped. There was bit of attutude on his part. But Plugger66 howled me down and said it was BS.
Then again, my source was good.

I don't say this to brag, but my source was close to his parents. Luke was not happy with his reduced game time and had some openly displayed dissapointment.jonesy wrote:Remember the R14 Geelong game, and how he looked p!ssed off when singing the song. This was around this time..Milton66 wrote:funny that. Now, whether that led ot being dropped, I don't know. But the impression I got was that he thought he was better than he was being treated at the time.

Its funny cos you'd probs put Milney and Dal way ahead of him in likeliness to actually do thisGrumpyOne wrote:Thank you for what?

I tend to agree, yes it is sad.... BUT if you do not want to play in Red White and Black and you are not 100% committed to the club.claystreet wrote:Here HereGrumpyOne wrote:Thank you for what?

Then Cya later, there's the door, off you go.
Thank him for the service as much as you like but at the end of the day he no longer committed to the jumper...
so cya later, bye bye, ta ta, on ya bike.
Its that simple for me.

Xavier boy, allowed to finish his schooling and play for his school at the expense of the club.
Looked after through his problems with OP.
Paid over the odds for years.
Now wants to play for Collingwood?
Let him go anywhere, but not Collingwood.
Very disappointed Mr Ball.

Thank you Luke Ball for letting your new contract catch dust while you shopped for options mid-season and but for a couple of games in the magoos kept Armo, Geary and Steven out of what was eventually a GF team.
Bally, you were grand once, but now I reckon you've got your head too firmly wedged up your own arse...

Regardless of whether you are leaving the club the next year or not your number one priority is to win the flag...

I get that, I am talking about the fact it seemed he was bleeding for the club at that point....perhaps he was torn?Armoooo wrote:He missed out on a premiership?SainterK wrote:I want to know, why did he cry after the grand final....what were those tears for if not for St Kilda?

geez i understand that we are all worked up about this, but to borrow a phrase- Fair Dinkum!
The way I see it, Luke is firmly wedged between a rock and a hard place, on an asskicking to nowhere etc.
It is obvious that despite the peanut laden 3 year deal- Ross obviously has issue/issues with the way Ball plays his football, and therefore would struggle to get a regular gig in the seniors.
He only has to look as far as Matt Maguire to see that this is not a good prospect. ie- once you are on the shitelist, its very hard to get off it.
Im stunned that some on here bring into question Balls character.
The guy has poured buckets of blood sweat and tears into our club- have a think before you go shooting your mouth off.

I bought a shirt from Target once.
It had a hard tag on it too.
I know how Dal feels.
