AFL.com - Who we've lost and what we need

Post: # 840646Post thirty-seven!? »

AFL.com has been doing a series of features on each club entitled "Who they've lost and what they need." This is their St.Kilda one:

here's the club at?
About as agonisingly close to a premiership as you could imagine. The Saints did everything right this year and will no doubt go in to 2010 as one of, if not, the stand out flag favourites. The majority of the Saints list is at the peak age and most have at least several years of football ahead of them. Ruckmen Michael Gardiner and Steven King are now the oldest on the list following the retirement of Max Hudghton but with Ben McEvoy and Rhys Stanley coming through the ranks they have a contingency plan in place for their big men.

etc etc

We'd be more than happy with a 2nd rounder for Ball and Brad Fisher for Goose.

The article was great until then. :|

1 - Luke Ball must stay
2 - Matt Maguire can only be traded if Lovett, Fevola, Burgoyne etc. is coming the other way.
3 - No Brett Peake, please no.

I think the club has put a lot of time and effort into Goose, have handled him well thru the VFL his year, and I see him as a required player.

Would be very surprised to see him offered up.

Both have the same manager

Bally & Goose are both managed by Paul Connors. He does most of his negotiating through the Herald Sun !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

they can't all be required players, can they? i reckon he's about seventh in line for a key defense spot behind dawson, gilbert, dempster, fisher, blake, r clarke, and he's less flexible than any of those, so i'd trade him in a heartbeat if there was something good in it.
