HURRY UP TRADE WEEK & FINISH

This week is by far the worst week of the year for loyal fans of ALL AFL teams. We read in the papers and on the internet that we are offering this player and that player up for trade. We turn on the radio and hear rumours being broadcast as "Fact" that this deal and that deal are about to hapen. We even have friends and associates who profess to have inside knowledge on this trade and that trade. We all know that the ratio of trades to rumours is about 1:100 and the rumours must be as upsetting to players as they are to fans

One that I heard today was particularly upseting; That we were prepared to trade Kosi as part of a Fevola deal. I refuse to believe this, but it is the sort of crap that goes around this week !!

I also love trade week. It's very interesting to see who goes where. Hopefully we don't lose anyone again this year.

No wonder the players get out of town and country

and I assume only answer phone calls- or messages from very personal contacts;;;;;;
even parents, aunts, uncles and well meaning cousins would be avoided for passing on wierd or whacky rumours...

2% Substance.

98% bulls***.

This will be an active trade week due to the compromised drafts coming up, but usually trade week is just so much bullshyt.

This one makes me physically sick! I don't mind Fev coming to the club, but not at the expense of Kosi.

Generally I like trade week, but not when these types of rumours are thrown up. Kosi is the future, Fev is a possible stop gap. Can't see it happening *fingers and toes crossed as I type this*

I agree. Still, I don't like the fact that his name has been mentioned at all.

Why is it a week ?
All the deals get done in the final hour.

(Or two winutes late in the case of Heath Black)

I love trade week but it should last longer than a week IMO.

I'd love it if the window was open the entire off-season.

Exactly, me too.

I love trade week - hate it when we aren't active!

FWIW - I'd be happy for a Kosi/Fev swap - assume we'd have to part with our second round pick as well though...

Don't see too many problems with a Kosi/Fev swap.
Assume that Carlton would want more than Kosi though. (If they would want him at all). Maybe a Kosi & Ball swap for the big full forward.
By the way, Kosi IS NOT the future of the St Kilda football club.

What do you mean by your last comment, just curious if you could elaborate?

Nah, I like it. As long as you're not irrationally married to the players you'll get through it all right.

Twigley enjoyed it and the increase in her spending allowance even though she was irrationally married to a skin head.
