Is that because it rhymes?
Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Fiora was taken ahead of Pavlich. Ball taken ahead of Judd etc etc etc.AnythingsPossibleSaints wrote:In their dreams? Are you kidding, do you know who Myers is? A high dp doesn't automatically mean he is going to make it.

Re: Essendon Rumour
Now I have heard it all. No actually I have heard enough.older saint wrote:Rumour on essendon fansite - Ball and Maguire for Lovett and Meyer
Why don't we swap Riewoldt and Kosi for Bell Chambers and Lucas (out of retirement)?

We would have to throw in someone like Goddard for them to even CONSIDER that trade. I mean Bellchambers is their future and Lucas a premiership player

If this offer was seriously on the table, not only would I most likely take it, but I'd probably be willing to throw our second round draft pick in, too, if it got it done. Maybe even our first.
I mean if we're looking to win a flag here and not just trading/drafting to get our new BFF (best friend forever), like some seem to be, it would probably be a no-brainer.
We all love Bally, but he's 25 in a 35yo's body and is playing half a game, even when it's wet (the conditions that suit him best) and may have only 2-3 years left. There's also not a lot of point in having both he and Armo on the list, as it's unlikely both will be picked in the same side, meaning one is "wasted".
Goose, on the other hand, didn't even get a game when Max or Zac were out, so unfortunately looks unlikely to be any more than "back-up" next year.
Lovett, on the other hand, plays the type of footy that we need more than probably any other, breaking the lines with exceptional pace and daring and kicking long goals. If you'd asked me earlier in the year what type of player we needed most of all, I'd have said someone like Andrew Lovett. Now he may actually be on the table.
While Myers, unless he's lost what made Essendon take him with the no. 6 pick, would hopefully play 200+ games for us and could be just the guy to free up Goddard to play forward. http://www.essendonfc.com.au/team/player.asp?id=117
Unless I was picking purely on emotion (which is not a great way to do business, and lets not forget, the St Kilda FC is a multi-million dollar business) I'd probably take this deal (if it were on the table) and run like I'd stolen it. Our chances of winning the flag next year would go up considerably.
Having said that, I very much doubt it's on the table.

It's funny how the rumour mill goes. Earlier in the year there was talk that Essendon would try and get Alex Rance to reunite him with Pears and Myers. Now, supposedly, Myers is out of favour. I'd love to get him. He's a big, mobile kid with great skills and a big tank. I doubt Ball or Myers will be moving though. Goose might. Lovett will. This looks like a fan-invented rumour.
Yeah nah pleasing positive
