Both teams were introduced to onlookers, who cheered their favourites but saved the loudest roar for opposing captains Nick Riewoldt and Tom Harley as they jointly lifted the premiership cup.
"Don’t let go of it, Nicky," yelled one St Kilda fan after the barracking died down.
from the sound of it not introoduced individually.
I thought I was old enough not to attend pointless events in the rain.
But it really has hit home now we are in the big one.
The hype has kicked me out of my zen state and am now really freakin out-
please dont let this be 97 again.
I have been reading articles all day about 97 and I still feel sick about it.
Milne looked like he was in his element today and Raph was having heaps of fun. We followed the saints and those guys were laughing the whole way.
Kosi looked like he did them so often he couldn't be bothered, I don't know why but Lyon actually looks like he really enjoys the limelight -a complete turn around.
I thought there were a couple of times during the presser when Rossy Lyon may well have fallen asleep...
Agreed. All seem relaxed and calm.
In 97 it was all so full on.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'
Disappointing the players sat inside the cars.
It was barely spitting when our boys came past.
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!
It was great to c all those Saints supporters out in the rain! I was at the back to see the boys in ( with an autograph from Dal), ran to the front to sing and listen to Nick and then straight to the back again to see them out...they all look good and relaxed! Go Saints!

I made a conscious effort to pull the plug on watching any media reports or reading some of the crap "expert" tips in relation to this game (09). The fact is: These experts have been wrong all year, have back-peddalled more than push forward with their ridiculous, newspaper-selling-hyped-opinions, and are seriously wasting the oxygen of everyone around them with their rantings!
Saints by 24! I've said it all week!
ps: I still feel sick!
When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Couldn't agree more (although my margin is 22).
Cannot believe the amount of 'experts' asked to give opinions when they are clearly at cross purposes. Look at Fox alone: Pickering, Colbert, Aussie Jones, Rohan Smith. Each has a bias or an axe top grind.
It's all just silly.

Saints colours certainly outnumbered pussy cat colours. For a Northerner, it was bloody cold and wet, but gee it was great to see the Saints in the parade.
