Thought I had an appointment today, which in fact was yesterday (so missed it) and thought that I had a farewell lunch tomorrow that was today...and 3 nights to go??? I may turn up to the G on Friday if that continues!

Being a self employed plumber I spend a bit of time in the car.

I listen to SEN until I get a bit sick of it.

Then five minutes later I need another grand final fix.

Im glad I dont have a radio inside so I can avoid it a bit.

Then I get on here instead.

We will all go crazy one day. This is just speeds things up.

I have enjoyed the week, maybe because in 97 it all seemed to go by in a blur and too quickly.

Did get a little bout of nerves when I picked up the ticket today and had it in my hand but other than that have been strangely calm.

Perhaps it is because I believe in the boys to do the job. They have been brilliant all year, and the best side in the comp. They must be itching to get out there and show the football world they have truly arrived. I have faith they will and plan to enjoy every minute!

I find myself thinking strange things like - the next time I wake up on a Wednesday "I will know", the next time I buy a Met ticket "I will know", ...

Even driving, I keep thinking "drive carefully - you've been waiting 40 years for this, don't have an accident now".

The nerves are beginning.

Was it just Reincarnated or were you as a collective more nervous last week at this time?

I suggest you try to do as much homework as you can now. Once you get stuck in it will take your mind off this Saturday which can only be a good thing.

Those assignments will be even harder to do should the result not go our way on Saturday.

I was up until the wee hours blowing up black, white & red balloons and putting them up on the balcony. In the light of day the "black" balloons turned out to be dark blue!

Woke up during the night wondering about team selection, was at least 2 hours before i got back to sleep. I couldnt drop anyone and was trying to find a spot for Max. Wouldnt you hate to be a coach trying to make the big decisions.

Holy crap, the workplace is decked out in Geelong and St Kilda coloured streamers and balloons (I'm on the Geelong side, but my supervisor knows I go for St Kilda so there's St Kilda balloons on my desk!!!!!

I am so bloody pumped, every day is just getting us closer to the holy grail - whatever does happen on Saturday, I can't wait to just be there to saok up the atmosphere, but I'm feeling pretty confident - reckon the nerves are just due to my excitement about actually being there. i don't think I will even believe that i am watchng us AT THE GROUND on Grand Final day until I am actually there and it is actually happening.

I've blocked out much of the media this week.

Working at home makes it hard to stay away from this place.

Mind you, this year has been great compared to 97. I have to admit that sharing this with all you guys and gals has been great fun.

In 97, there were about 2 people I could chat with. Instead, it's almost like an extended family on this forum.

I'll be a mess at 2pm on Saturday, and honestly don't know how I'll feel if we don't win. For now, I can only contemplate that we will win.

Reading about the sacrifices that people are making, and how people are flying in from all around the globe, are the things that have made me most emotional to be honest.

To read such touching stories from fellow supporters is amazing. I've even got a hold of a small flag, and will place on the old man's grave if we win.

He took me to my first game in 1970, and even in his latter years, he'd still put on his RW&B tracksuit top to watch the games on TV.

My kids are now at that age where they'll also be going next year, so the tradition continues, and as we say good bye to loved ones, a new generation of Saints fans arise. Such is the cycle of life.

The dedication, the raw energy and emotion displayed on this forum have truly shown me just what it means to be a Saints follower... one could say that I have discovered the true meaning of life as a Saints follower.

Since becoming a dad, my priorities have changed somewhat, and footy took a back seat. But this week, right here, right now... it's an amazingly surreal space to be in.

I tip my hat of to all fellow forumites who have waited so long through good times... and mainly bad times... for this moment to arrive.

And I sincerely hope from the bottom of my heart that you all get to enjoy the euphoria that comes with finally winning the flag.

Take a bow... you deserve it.

Now let's kick some pussy butt!

Go Saints! :D

Much love Milton... well said my friend... I'll be heading out to my dad's grave on Saturday morning to let him know he'll be in M29 with me that afternoon. I'll be returning on Sunday to place a Saints Premiers 2009 hat on his headstone.

Wish he was here now...

We'll be fine. I'll be making a beeline over to M29 if we win. PM seat numbers just in case... but the Jiggster will be there, so I guess he won't be hard to recognise.
