not trying to neg you out bev but last time there was a dust storm in sydney it stayed around a while. seeing as you only now just have it in queensland it could be a case of it staying put or being mild. last time it happened in sydney it hung around for a good few days.

Some flights were cancelled today in Bris, though as far as I have heard it is worse on the coast. Just watching the news it looks not to bad in Bris, that havn't shown Coast. Don't know about the Sunny Coast. Yes flights booked out from the Coast. Will have to have a plan B I think.

Is the problem the dust in Sydney or is there also bad dust in SE Qld?

If it's only in Sydney then the problem is the lack of available planes around the country?

Have you checked the train schedule from Brisbane to Melbourne.

.
As past very frequent flyer the problem is that the planes flying around the country are often interconnected in their routing and so if there is major problem at one airport it can ripple around the country.

16?

Surely, there's a bus service.

If I was driving down, I'd give ya a lift.

Worse case, hire a car one way and fly back.

A healthy 18 to 20 hours.

Clearing by looks. I can see stars.
