Bit surprised we are not $6.00! We might drift a bit during the week.

I'd have a go at that! The odds are based on what the punters splurge on instead of (a) our position, (b) our opposition, (c) the fact that we're better.

Let them be favourites, they we're in round 14, let Ablett win the brownlow, I'm not interested in individual awards.
Let their supporters talk themselves into invincibility, but talk is cheap.
I KNOW WE CAN WIN.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

I don't know anything about this kind of thing, but $1.60 for the cats to win....one would assume they are the favourites?

the odds should be around even. but geelong are the 'bookies' favourite, as they are holding 12 months worth of bets on them.
any higher odds, and geelong have an 'unlikely' gf win, the bookies will be eating 2 minute noodles and sleeping under bridges till they get their accounts back into the black.

Ablett wins Brownlow, Cats win easily against second-rate opposition last week, we are the top team and have won our two finals..it all adds up..we're underdogs

Geelong are favourites with the punters...this is purely money talking. We are the top team, Geelong will be doing the chasing IMO.

Lenny isn't going to win the Norm without us taking the flag. That would be the perfect double for me.

I am A OK with Geelong getting most of the media spotlight and been given "favourites" status. This places tremendous pressure on them. All we need to do is go about our preparation quietly and come out with the fully pronged arsenal on Saturday.

Me thinks there'll be some sphincters tightening down in Sleepy Hollow 8-)

I must say I am astonished. Two weeks ago we were the team everyone loved. Listening to SEN today most people were picking Cats to win. It is not just the money. How did this happen......it sh**s me really. I was enjoing being "top of the heap".

Shytes me to, I think it has to do with 1, we took out the dogs, and 2 we are no longer the loosers, its always easy to have a second favorite team that is not a threat, but now they all realise we will win the flag, and theydont like it

I think most of these people bought the myth of the Pie. They were pumped up by the media who said they were the "form" team, the most likely to challenge us. In reality, the Pie had a soft run, as they always do. I always thought it would be us v the Cats, though for a while last Friday thought the Dogs would oust us. The Cats are the next best side, without question in my mind, as was borne out by their position on the ladder.

The Cats dispatched Pois very impressively after we had beaten the crap out of the Pois one week, followed by a tough and courageous win against the Craw the next. I doubt the Cats will be able to do the same to us.

I was hoping to go through the season undefeated so I could order my tattoo with a bloody big 25 on top. I will happily settle for a 1 point win against a worthy opponent on Saturday arvo, followed by a year of gracious, supercilious smiling at those who-
a: said our premiership window closed three years ago.
b. tipped Geelong on the basis of a thrashing of an inferior team.

Money decides the bookmakers favourite. Other people picking against us doesnt matter at all. It just means that hopefully more will be wrong than right come 5.30 Saturday.

Exactly. All it takes is a $100k splurge from a saint and watch them change.

$2+ is a good bet IMO.

Does the same logic apply to us. That is Cats beat the crap out of Dogs but we could only just beat them.

I hope not.
