Sorry Rob. Dempster gets a run for mine.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

how can anyone say no change, rob eddy has had no impact on our last 2 games and clearly showed hes not up to it.
Seems like a great kid and gives his all but his best doesnt stack up to the players sitting on the sidelines.
If he plays he will be a liability might as well go in with 21 players.
but in saying that i hope he proves me wrong.

Would love to see Armo but suspect it would go to Dempster on a last out, first back in basis (he played round 22).
With 4 touches last week I wonder if Eddy will hold his spot. He may stay for reasons of stability, or if he trains strongly, or if he serves some mysterious purpose not known to me.

"... You want to pose a threat to the opposition in as many ways as you can, both defensively and offensively. We've got a responsibility to explore all those possibilities - and we will."
21 spot decided.
We got 31 players pushing for 22 spots . It is very hard to change a winning team in finals . i just watched the game this morning(tuesday) and trying to find a role for Eddy . he could be used tagging one of Geelong running defenders like a Mackie or Enright .if not Dempster could come in as midfielder or jimmy as a lead up forward

You raise a point that perhaps the more strategic among us could possibly address.InkerSaint wrote:Would love to see Armo but suspect it would go to Dempster on a last out, first back in basis (he played round 22).

Lyon is no dope. He has scarcely made a selection error all year. He clearly has a role in mind for Eddy.
What is it? Is he doing it?
I'm not being cynical - I just don't get it.

The concerning thing about Eddy wasn't the four touches, it was the one tackle. He had six against the Pies.
Look at his tackle stats this year.
He comes in against Port Adelaide - 4 tackles (20 poss, 1 goal)
Round 6 v Western Bulldogs - 1 tackle (18 poss) - he's dropped
Comes back in v West Coast - 5 tackles (11 poss, 2 goals)
Round 16 v Adelaide - 3 tackles (11 poss)
Round 17 v Western Bulldogs - 2 tackles (11 poss, 1 goal)
Round 18 v Sydney - 1 tackle (8 poss) - but he can't be dropped because...
Round 19 v Hawthorn (7 enforced changes to side) - 5 tackles (11 poss) - eight players to return, so Eddy makes way
He comes back in for Round 22 v Melbourne - 6 tackles (13 poss)
QF v Collingwood - 7 tackles (8 poss)
PF v Western Bulldogs - 1 tackle (4 poss)
He was dropped the first time he had one tackle, was saved by the seven omissions for the Hawthorn game, but had had thirteen tackles in two weeks before the Doggies final. He's in trouble.
