Where is the best vantage point for the parade?

Post: # 826387Post saint patrick »

Coming up from the peninsula this Friday...just wondered where is the best place to watch proceedings from those with past experience??

Will park at Crown[where I pick up my ticket] just wanted the heads up on where to head for the parade?

Thanks in advance!!

I'm getting there early to stand at the end point so i can get a clear view of the boys holding the cup on the town hall steps :)

I went years ago for the Pies vs. Lions GF because my sister was performing. We just followed the parade. Does it still finish at Parliament?

It starts at the arts centre on st kilda rd and heads north onto swanston st. Then turns right at Collins st and heads up to the finish on the steps of treasury. The end is where both captains hold the cup up and do interviews etc

I've found in the past (o5 and 06) that you can watch them assemble in the cars at the Art Centre, then follow it up to Parliament. Just need to walk at a good pace. Coming over on Wednesday night - can't wait to see the parade

So it's the same as 97?

If the two captains still come on stage with the premiership cup you're much better off being somewhere near the end of the parade so you can actually see it.
