Roo's Knee

Post: # 825666Post Batnoe »

Just saw on tv, that doctors have told Roo he faces long term damage to his knee if he plays this week!!

I think it is worth it, he can get the flag and be happy for it... What would you do?

Have a day off and play next season, or play and may not possibily play again?

Interesting I wonder whether it's his doctor or the ones the media have asked who haven't seen him but are paid money to create a bit of an opinion.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

What footballer doesnt end up with long term damage after playing football.

So all the focus is now on Rooey's knee. Cameron Mooney said they would target it (behind a thinly disguised oh only joking)

Big write up about stopping Roo in the paper.

The rest of our TEAM must be laughing at this, what are they chopped liver

If they are going to focus on Nick's knee, maybe we should threaten to focus on Otten;s knee and Johnstons hip. Two can play at that game.

They will be at him like a bull at a gate. Do you think they'll care that much if they get 4 or 5 weeks and miss the start of next season, if it means taking out Roo, which almost guarantees them a premiership?
We need Kosi to stand up in a big way. We need him taking marks, but also protecting Roo whenever he can.

roo should be rested on the 1% chance that this particular game might be the one that he buggers his knee in. we can always slot maxy into FF, drop kosi back to CHF - no loss!

ablett should be rested too - likely too get rubbed on the head in a very brisk manner on one too many occasions, risking permanent baldness beyond hair studio's ability to restore!

gawd, we'll be reading a lot of utter garbage this week in the tabloids!

I heard larkins say that there was no point in targeting sj, as he would have no pain in his hip.

Larkins is a cats supporter, so I guess he would be unbiased. Only Saints are biased aren't they?

LOL now larkins is coming on footy show to say there is a question of Lenny's health. FFS this guy is a quack. He is not his doctor how the frig would he know. And if he was his doctor he has a hypocratic oath not to discuss it. Hypocratic, more like hypocritic. The Guy is a Quack too full of himself

Man I've only been up 2 hours and this is what I have learned via the media:

Roo is a diver
We got week free kicks angainst bulldogs
Roo has no future cos his knee is stuffed
Stkilda only has one player whos knee is stuffed.
Stkilda need to pray it is the only way they will beat geelong.
Stop Roo and you beat Stkilda.
Its ok to target Roo and his bad knee.

Oh yeah we have one other player Zac Dawson who is a dud and should be out of the team because Max has been a loyal servant to stkilda.

Fair dinkum I think I'll go for a run and not stop till next Saturday

How can any doctor categorically claim that Roo's knee COULD suffer permanent damage if he plays this week? Have they actually seen his knee or any X-rays of it? FFS, how ridiculous!

Well, I watched his knee intently during the game on Friday night (had the binoculars on it the whole time) and I believe that he risks long term psychological damage if he DOESN'T play on Saturday afternoon. He may never recover and he may have to be be institutionalised.

If these opinions came from one of the St Kilda docs and not one of the media nuf nufs they would have merit. St Kilda are a professional outfit and there is no way in hell they would risk Roo if his knee was that bad, even if it is the Grand Final as he still has a multi million dollar contract for the next few years.

Dont worry about it. Enjoy the week. If it upsets you what is written or spoken about the saints then dont watch or read. They won by a lot and we fell in so it was always going to happen.

Yeah I know , however these guys have forgotten that they are paid to impart their knowledge of the game, but they dont they have all become performers. Actually the only one providing any insight is Crawford.

Doesn't upset me as much as it amuses me.

Interesting your comment that we 'fell in'? I don't believe the season we have had so far backs that theory. We did what we had to and came out with a clean bill of health. The boys continually stepped it up just enough to win the game and were gifted a couple of goals from Bulldog stupidity (re-Lake who had been warned continually during the first half).

Geelong are the favourites, we are poor old St Kilda who has only won 1 flag in their long club history and who have come close on a couple of other occasions. Geelong is the machine, St Kilda are in trouble as Roo has a bung knee which means the St Kilda is likely to fail again. Stupidity (the media) is a great thing! I LOVE IT! I will be enjoying every day, minute and second of this week!
